As someone who recently bought the kit I'm grateful that someone actually showed that its possible to build a case out of Lego parts. The fact that you can do it means I know I can buy Lego parts and mod it myself
Just bought an Adam two days ago at MicroCenter. Sturdy, quiet AF, and an overall solid little keyboard. Only paid $20 for it on sale for the barebones kit. You just made that keyboard so much more fun for me. Thanks for that lego seller link.
Can’t believe how nice how nice both the stock and modded models sound. I just ordered mine the other day and I definitely wanna add some modifications for my first time. I don’t have any lube but I’ll definitely trying adding tape
Great video! Love both the stock and modded sounds. For me personally, I would keep everything stock (love that lego build sound), except for the stabs. The is rattling would drive me mad. 🤯
this is such a great video. i did not do a custom case with real Lego but i did want to elevate the typing angle so i was able to repurpose some unused anti skid felt furniture pads that have tiny rubber dots covering them. i stacked a bunch of these to get a good angle and since theyre no skid i did not need to use the rubber feet that came with the kit adam anymore. thank you for the inspiration, your build videos are always helpful when i come across them!
after getting the keeb and building it i must say i am extremely satisfied with it. easily one of the keyboards of all time. (It did come with rubber feet and four small squares of case foam. The foam didn't really affect the sound but the feet are really nice.)
This is amazing! Your research and video quality is top tier -- thank you for the parts list and in-depth modding guide, I know others will find this video super helpful✌
Man, it´s frustrating, i´ve flipped the internet and nobody shows how to connect the pcb cable. even when it´s obvious, show it. this is my third keeb and i don´t find two sockets to connect tfhe little cable. i will copy paste this in all the videos i´ve watched looking for that.
Need a quick opinion, I love keyboards and i’m not sure if I qualify as an enthusiast and I current am running a GMMK Pro that I nodded and it’s extremely thocky, and brutal 60 that’s I also made thocky, and I really like the lego sound that comes from the stock build and I just ordered so I’m debating on getting more of the same and making it thocky or keeping it stock
You do you. The best part about this hobby is building kbs to YOUR liking. The components of the kbdcraft adam was actually purpose made to sound like the classic lego brick building, so I kept it stock. Again though, you do you man.
@@keebface looking into ordering bricks for wrist-rests and noticed it's not compatible for stacking. I think it needs to be redesigned using ball sockets instead
On the website, there's a line that's said "Sound package in development",do you have any idea what is that :I ,thank you ,great vid :D ,delicious sound after mod ^^
