This 13 minute video was created from a Super8 film shot May 18th, 1972. With Navassa Island soon to become active again, I thought this might provide some historical perspective -- 42 years ago! You can read the whole story at www.kc4dx.com
DXpedition members were: K3FPY, K4PGM(SK), K4TMA, W2NSD/1 (SK), W4GKF (that's me), W4GTS(SK), WA4VWV(SK), WB4SST (now N4DK), WB4UPC and WB4WMG.

My good friend Bill Latta's older brother , Phil, was on this DXpedition. Bill recently passed away at the ripe old age of 103, but he got much enjoying reading about this adventure.

The United States Government. It's a wildlife refuge.

+Valerie Prescott He's clearly mistaken, Valerie. If you check Wikipedia you'll see the nearly 600 year story on Navassa bringing it (today) to a National Wildlife Refuge operated by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. If your brother is a US citizen, I guess he owns it same as the other 250 million of us :)

Chas,if you Google Bill Warren Narvassa Island a video comes up,he put on .Look at the details and he says he purchased it from a professor...tell me what you think
