Did anyone else hear the CBS "bong"? And it's weird to see two guys here that are legends elsewhere, Kevin O'Connell (Buffalo) and Dan Miller (Nashville).
That's a very interesting general promo right after the tease, suggesting that the station was all but overhauling its evening newscasts. Also, I wonder if the 4:00 newscast would've still launched at this time, if the network hadn't officially stopped programming the 3:00 (PT) slot then; in fact, the final Press Your Luck on the network aired the next day, although KCBS was carrying the show at 11:00 instead. (It looks like The People's Court moved to 3:30 [from 4:00], as part of a larger revamp of the station's daytime schedule.)
