I would say my favourite character is Ghost. Having to bury his feelings for Trinity, after accepting that she was only to fall for The One, and having to continue on with his mission along with his crew mates for the betterment of Zion, shows his grounded acceptance, strength and integrity.

My favorite Matrix character is Thomas Anderson’s Neo - the hacker pre-red pill. I always found it to be really cool to see Thomas living out an everyday mundane life, like myself and countless others, not only looking for something more and real, but actually finding it. He’s about the same age as I am now, as opposed to when I first saw the movie as a kid in 1999, and it gives me a sort of hope that maybe there is something more out there than just getting prepared as an adult to just work until we die.

My favorite character is the architect. He is calm, rational, genius and completely blind to his weaknesses. That’s the most human response!

The Matrix is my favorite movie ever. I've watched the original trilogy hundreds of times. But I couldn't finish 40 minutes of Matrix 4. Matrix 5 is a bad idea.

The Merovingian is my favorite character in "The Matrix" because of his speech on cause and effect as the only truth. In science and math, grasping cause and effect is crucial for explaining and predicting the world, much like how mathematical equations uncover deeper truths. His viewpoint perfectly captures that connection. Also, I like his style-he's sophisticated and suave, with an air of arrogance and refinement that makes him stand out. His taste for fine dining, sharp suits, and eloquent language add to his compelling presence.

I like the oracle, because "she" knows what is really happening and is calm with it, but also willing to give special advice when the right person comes because she knows that is how it's really played out..i think that takes true power..

Man, I love Agent Smith - not only because of the amazing Hugo Weaving, but also because his villainy is perfectly captured and his point of view makes a lot of sense if you really think about it. I miss this kind of perfect villain; he's masterfully done. You love to hate that guy! 🕶️

I think having Lana Wachowski doing M5 is like Ridley Scott and the Alien franchise. He nearly killed off the franchise after creating it and has taken someone new to generate interest again.

My favourite character would be Seraph as he is still a mysterious character for me. He is a strong, collected martial artist that even beat agent Smith in the past by himself. Ya gotta go with Neo as he's the Goku of the series. Seeing him fight 100 Smiths for the first time was mind blowing just how much more powerful Neo had gotten since we last saw him. It was a serious bummer having to wait as these were coming out for the 3rd movie because Reloaded ends on a cliffhanger.

My favorite character is Trinity. Besides the fact that she is badass and confident, she is kind of the heart in the series in my opinion. There is a softness with her even though she can also be focused on the mission. I also love the depth she brings with other characters, especially Neo. I hope they can bring back Jessica Henwick as Bugs, I really liked her character in Resurrections.

I’ve enjoyed all but that last movie, but my favorite character has always been the Oracle. She’s always offered a level of mystique which leaves you wanting more. She’s vague but clear in her explanations which can frustrate you but leaves you wanting more. So you have to stick around to see what may happen. Gotta love it.

I really like Morpheus. I think the socio-critical portrayal is so great - he is driven, feels like an individual, is successful and wants to move and change things, but is actually just a small key figure who is used and manipulated, but can't even reflect on this himself. Or dont want to - like many others do. Great and so beautifully critical of society.

I think they should do a series where season 1 is when the robots rise up and win the war. Season 2 could be the construction and implementing of the Matrix. This season could give insight about how they got the humans to accept going in in the first place. Then season 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 could be about the anomalies up to Neo.

I heard the writer will be Drew Goddard. After watching the movie 10 Cloverfield Lane from 2016, i trust him to write the story for Matrix 5. But at the end no one knows what we will get. I hope they just say Matrix 4 was a dream or something. Get all of the cast back.

Favorite Matrix character has to be Neo. He is a representation of each and every one of us. Asleep, aimlessly going through life, a life that is determined by control, and an illusion of choice. Whether temporarily or permanent he shows us that even our illusion of choice can still lead us to the path of victory. He also shows us the true meaning of our existence, the one thing that cannot be put into numbers or equations, the one thing that can transcend through time and space, and the one thing we are all searching for, Love.

My favorite character is Neo as I've seen so much of myself over the years I go back to the movies and relate more and more as I get older. All two very relatable... "Am I...crazy!?" I've asked myself that question more times then I'm comfortable to admit. His love for Trinity beyond anything else is more than commendable, it is what I believe to be the one true secret to existence. Believing in love, trusting in your own self, and seeing it through no matter what until the end is something we can all vibe to per se. Everyday I question my reality. At times when I've had mental breakdowns what really helps is his courage and pure...well...humanity I guess. It is quite the struggle to try to define what this reality I'm in even is... All I know is love is all and all is love whatever all of this is and I'll stay trusting in my senses when they tell me something is awry. Just waiting for Morpheus to pop out of the shitter one day... So far no. There's some light-hearted humor for you but in all seriousness I think every actor was perfect for these movies and the story I'm literally obsessed all of these years later. Got to see the second matrix movie when it was in theaters too back in the day with a friend of mine! We still also talk about Neo and The Matrix and how cool that experience was. I really look up to Keanu Reeves as a whole as a person although I'll probably never get to meet him his character Neo is my all-time favorite and I truly believe The Matrix is the greatest movie ever. 🐐

I am not paying to watch a rebooted Matrix. Some things should just come to an end. Maybe reboot YEARS down the road for a new generation.

My favourite character would be Neo, as he is the main character but also for more. Neo is constantly thinking of others and everyone’s safety and throughout the series, he is known to be a very, very good martial arts fighter.

I think the time travel aspect is fascinating. I was reading Dante's Inferno recently and I kept remembering this weird backwards-in-time air I felt in the pub when I was working on a Saturday afternoon, I wondered if after a certain number of years pubs develop a gate to hell, like...Lana del Ray's Da Vinci cypress trees (like in The Angel In The Avenue) or....Glastonbury in the dark during the festival. I'd love to investigate that but I'm pretty sure eventually they got me lol😂

For the favorite character choice it would be obviously Agent Smith after he merged with Neo's code, I think he understood that Zion and Neo are just another layer of programming, the architect explained it was the 7th time the matrix has been rebooted, also in the animatrix series we understand from the archives that there are 3 layers, as in Red (we only see a bit of red hue while in the animatrix browsing the archives), green (the matrix we see in the movie) and blue (the "real" world), Somehow some code snippets integrated from Neo and the Oracle to Agent smith and yet he returned in the movie of matrix 4 willingly and being sentiant nonetheless as being just a spectator, i've always found this intriguing since i've watched your tutorials on this universe to make me think that Neo is just another layer of machinery, and Agent smith is the one real trying to escape the multiple layers of Matrixes

Aside from the Oracle being my favorite, I believe she should be everyone's as well. The contradictory duality of "a machine that can feel" is one of the most essential themes of not only the Matrix's fictional universe, but our reality as well. The Wachowski's understood this on some level, if not deeply, and set out to tell a story that invites the answer to the question, 'What is Real?' Through the character, Neo, the answer is sought but never fully obtained. But, it is the Oracle who helps centralize the point that what is real, or reality, isn't necessary a location you can visit externally (The Real World), but internally. By virtue of her very existence, she cements the notion that if a non-human can simulate the human condition, then what's real is how you answer what does it mean to be human and not whether your plugged in or not (Consider Agent Smith's internal plight). Love, death, family, fear, happiness, lost and hope, are just words. What's real is the "connection that those words imply."

Seraph is my favorite Matrix character, and a close second is Switch. Switch is both tender and aggressive, male and female, "my way or the highway". Seraph is an Angel. Literary, Seraph/Seraphim means Angel. He protects the Oracle. He knows he can kick ass but that is not his purpose. Also, my great grandfather's name was Serafin, which means Seraphim in Spanish. In addition, if God ever blesses me with a son, I am planning on naming him Seraph.

Forget the haters, it's not Lana's fault people don't understand the franchise. All the movies are amazing within the context of the story being told. Resurrections makes it painfully clear how many see the matrix movies and what they are about in that brainstorm montage, ideas about what the matrix are about that are all completely wrong. Take the movies for what they truly are, and they are absolutely phenomenal, every single installment and Lana is an absolute genius

I like this video and the suggested plot lines. While I’m still skeptical of Matrix 5, maybe we have a chance of getting a decent movie.

Matrix prequel should be called the first matrix and it should take place in a disturbingly perfect world that the first human keep waking up from. Another prequel can take place in the second rebooted matrix, the one where all the werewolf’s and vampires and ghosts come from. This is all within the OG lore.

Don't forget the announcement of the Merovingian in Matrix 4 when he says there will be a franchise spin off , like you mentioned in past videos @matrixexplained, so that being said i think there will be a more Matrix movies and we might get a Merovingian solo movie , like SW did with Rogue One , Rogue One served as a bridge/connection from the prequels to the main saga. Im not saying the Merovingian movie will be like that , this is just an example for me to try to explain my logic if that makes sense .

I really liked Matrix Resurrections & would like to see a sequel given potential elements of where they could go with it. I get fed up with pointless prequels or reboots that offer nothing. I like the ideas i've been reading about say how Smith could end up being a hero of the machine world. The fallen one's redemption aided by Neo & Trinity working together to face the new threat & war. As he says "Anyone could be you"..."Whereas I've always been anyone". I could imagine a fight scene where he shifts between people in a crowd to kick a... Just some thoughts to make of what you will.

My favorite character is cypher because he represents so many truthers out here that after a while of being open to the truths of the real world, that we sometimes just want to go back to the ignorance is bliss life. He represents so many human emotions throughout the film and hopefully a live action story for cypher would be interesting to me.

Smith became my new favorite character with Matrix 5. He was awesome in the trilogy, but his evolution in Matrix 4 made him so much more 3 dimensional. Neo was no longer his obsession, or even his primary focus, just his own existence free of any control. He went from unbridled rage to the true Machiavellian anti-hero. Maybe a new version of the Merovingian?

I think we see a continuation of sorts with legacy characters passing over to a new generation, simliar to Resurrections but more so. Perhaps we get this with Smith returning back in full and now it is his story for this film where a possible 3rd film wouls solidify the changing of the guard. But who knows... I am curious where they are gonna go with this.

Agent Smith. Even though Neo is such a loving character, I love the juxtaposition of Agent Smith. That’s easy, I know, but we are seeing Neo’s side of the story but I think Agent Smith was done with such as much care as I don’t mind seeing a story on his point of view. From creation to his fall from his purpose. To see it all come through and why he is so hellbent on going through it with it with such effort as he does.
