Further from Gaurikund the trek to kedarnath begins.
Kedarnath Trek Distance
The trek to kedarnath is a 22 km trek which starts from Gaurikund till Kedarnath. The trek has changed since the 2013 flood disaster in a uttrakhand and since then the 16 km trek to kedarnath has increased to 22 km trek.
The temple is one of the four major sites in india's chota char dham pilgrimage of Northern Himalayas and holds the highest importance among the five panch Kedar and this temple is the highest among the 12 jyotirlingas.
