I think it becomes a battle when you can actually reply to the runs your opponents do. This one round battle is more like a show where you just present one round and are judged based on that. Pointless.

Lucas Marie Its a contest/battle. A real battle takes place in a cypher or circle. Something that would require you to actually go to the event not watch on youtube from the comfort of your computer.

Freestyle Session You assume that I don't go to events and I don't cypher just because I think one round battles are stupid? pretty sad.... The truth is that its BECAUSE I cypher and dance a lot that I think one round battles are stupid.

Lucas Marie If you cypher a lot then isn't it obvious to you? Whether we like it or not there is a difference between battles in the cypher and battles that take place in a contest format - a contest, of any sort, is a structured event; therefore it has a limited amount of time in which it can all get done. Cypher battles are real battles, like the guys from Freestyle Session said, in which you can go at it all you want and truly test each other. You can't just throw this concept into the contests/competitions, as much as we would love that, it doesn't work that way. The event looked amazing, and all the dancers brought it hard, just appreciate what you are watching.

Luigi is also Squadron (look at older jams like United Styles 2009). If I'm not mistaken, Squadron was put together as a promotional team of sorts for TheBBoySpot/Biggest and Baddest clothing. So if you go to their webstore, the models are Roxrite, Kid David, Luigi, El Nino, Spee-D, Nasty Ray, Keebz. All those guys are Squadron. Vic is a natural addition as he is from Florida where TheBBoySpot is based.
