Nice overview of this compressor. I have one and really love its simplicity. With three knobs and the led light, it's easy to dial in exactly what you need. Thanks for sharing

I'm gald the video was helpful, that's about the greatest compliment I can think of. compressors are a very subjective thing to a lot of people and I find myself torn between what I "Think" I understand about how they technically work and what I "Think" I hear when I'm using them. They can be a solution to a problem with dynamics you want to fix, and / or an effect that alters your "Tone" and makes your bass sound "Better" It's all subjective. Keep experimenting with yours and see what it can do for you. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Subscribed. I like that you adjust your speaking volume for the tutorial. Can't stand vids where you can barely hear the bass, but the talking is unbearably loud. Nice job. Think I'll pick up a Keely.

I really like the way it sounds. I have no plans to replace it with something else. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!

I hope this question makes sense. Does this pedal also raise the volume when you play quieter? I guess I’m being thrown off by the word “limiter”. The pedal also seems to have less control knobs that I usually see on other compressors. Could you tell me why that is? Great review!

The difference between compression and limiting seems to be more of a function of the ratio. If you set an extreme ratio, like 10 to 1, your volume will basically hit a wall at the level where you set the thresh hold, and that's it. that's the max volume, It will equalize most of the signal to be that level. This means that quieter parts get louder, and loud parts get quieter. It will also have a VERY audible effect that you may or may not like depending on what you are going for, but in the case of bass guitar, it probably won't sound good unless a small amount of that is being blended into the dry signal. The lower the ratio, the more of the signal will allowed to go past the threshold that has been set. At a 1 to 1 ratio, everything gets through and there is essentially no compression. At least that's the way I “Think” I understand it at this time. Check back with “Future me” in a few years and I may something more to say. Thanks for watching and commenting!

If there are terminals for a 9v battery, why wouldn’t it work?

Thanks for watching and commenting. I "assumed" it would work but found it curious that it was not mentioned in the manual, so I tested it. I like to test things.
