@dhenry531 Dude he us using neck Pick up its always going to sound on bottom end. Its a good demo take it for what it is and start to understand where the pick up selection affects your tone.
@vanhalenpwns i'm pretty sure that's just the Strat he's playing through. Strats have a lot of top-end character, including a sort of quack, and if driven, sometimes fuzz.
hmm... sounds really good. got a Marshall-ish midrange to it. and that strat is pretty cool, too. but i think i'm fine with my setup. the Boss ST-2 does everything i ask of it already.
I have the version 4 OCD. I use the OCD with my PRS and sounds good. With the pick ups your talking about you will have difficulty finding the sweet spot. 490T and 490R will sound sweet with a ts808 for sure!! Good luck man. Finding the great tones can be a long time discovery.
@VesterDude Or maybe not, because with this pedal he can drive a flying v! ......Yeah. They cant all be gems.

If I was Keeley, I don't think that I would be completely content of Riario's pitch of the pedal as "also distortion". I mean, Luna does what it's supposed to in the first place, which is overdrive and overdrive only so you won't get a "sensitive" point as a threshold on the gain knob which turns the pedal into a distortion pedal when passed. In fact, I think that Luna even enhanced the sound of that Stratocaster yet I would like to see its effects also on a humbucker-equipped guitar..
that's not the pedal that's the recording, it's a tad cleaner when using the actual pedal and the reason there's so much hype is because it's manipulatable with the "high" and "low" knobs, because it works well when you put it in a line up of other pedals, and because it reacts well with the volume switch on your guitar
This sounds terrible in person as well. Maybe there's only specific applications but at my local guitar shop I plugged into a Fender Hotrod Deluxe with a les paul and could not get it to sound any better than what you hear in this video. The sound is squished and fizzy as hell unless you turn it down really low. I always let an overdrives tone come through, hardly use one as a boost and this pedal's tone is really bad imo. :/
What setting you have in your OCD that you like so much? Ihave one that I sue for boost but can't really dial it in to find a sweet spot. I have a LP Standard with 490T and 490 R picks with a Mesa Boogie combo Nomad 2x12 with 6L6's
I think this pedal could possibly sound good, but the base tone of his guitar was terrible. The pedal helped the tone, but come on, maybe use a base tone with some clarity and not just mud.
@ratquake3000 Seriously? You dont think a guy that cant listen to 32 seconds of talking to get a basic answer to the banal question "is this pedal called a keeley overdrive made by keeley?" doesnt deserve some mockery? He totally does. Then the same guy says that they are cool with manipulating people into answering to cover their lazy nature shouldnt be called out? Do you really thing that sort of person shouldnt be called out on their douchebaggery?
Why did you demo this pedal without switching once to the bridge p/up ??? That pedal would reveal it's REAL overdrive tenancies in THAT position instead of the neck/middle p/up. All in all a real dissappointment.
