Not a chance it is A: Preset 1 without adjustments that is used in this clip. A: Preset 1 has sharp repeats and not at all that lush smoth ambient quality like in this demo
Ok, if no one is going to say it, I will, Strymon timeline! lol not sure why they’re acting as though all the things this pedal is doing is not available in the Strymon timeline, like turn the knob to edit and the light indicates when you are back to original preset. Yes, it’s cool that this is available, not sure why Strymon isn’t even mentioned for pulling this off first, many years ago!? Still love Robert and Andy, just wondering why? 🤔
Because the intent of this pedal was not to compete with any particular brand, but to capture Andy's signature sound in a single box that's neatly packaged for your musical pleasure.
The fact of the matter is, the Halo had to sound better than the Strymon to Andy's ears, there is not a chance he was going to go backwards in terms of tone. Andy is a very lyrical and melodic player, tone is everything for his 'voice'. I remember the day he took the Timeline off his board, he was showing the hair on his arms raised with a huge smile on his face. In terms of sound quality, Andy felt like we had captured everything he wanted in his Halo dual modulated echo tone. Then, we had to get all of the effect & preset switching down so that it matched the functionality of the Timeline for Andy's needs.
@@RobertKeeleyTV I don’t have any doubt about how good this pedal sounds,if you play guitar, you know Andy Timmons and Robert Keeley know how to get good tones, I just found it odd that you guys mentioned every delay pedal Andy was using to get his delay tones except Strymon? I do believe you will get a lot of the guys who don’t like the size or the price of the timeline, so you did carve out your own lane with this one, but you have to respect the guys who did this first. IJS Thanks for the pedal.
@@Kasper911band We didn't mention the Timeline on purpose. We wanted to leave something to people's imagination. We kinda felt like it didn't need to be said so bluntly. I think by not not throwing the Strymon name around, we were giving respect to those guys...to the guys who were first, but are now ISP...
