Did he try to do baseball choke in Keenan's closed guard? I really want to see how did Keenan sweep him and transfer to that dirty armbar...so amazing. it seems like Keenan pull his arm and use hip and did a back roll..
I watched that part like a dozen times. I can't figure it out. I wanna almost call it a sweep. Looks like with his closed guard he broke his posture by tugging him forward with his legs and maybe used the left hand sleeve some how to send him.
Stand up throws don't matter in Jiu Jitsu, unless both guys CHOOSE to go for takedowns. what good are take downs when a guy can pull or jump guard or simply sit down when ever he likes? The evolution of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu the guard mainly has made stand up (Judo) obsolete. And having a badass guard is NOT a trend & is only going to get better and better. It's time to except the fact that stand up is dead due to someone being better off there back from the guard. You can't force them to stand w/u
Can you honestly see this becoming an Olympic sport? I've been practicing Jiu-jitsu for over 20 years and I do appreciate watching but to the public it's a joke. Having blue belt "world champs" and lots of butt scooting will not get you a spot on ESPN..
Keenan is a legit BJJ black belt, I think he knows Jiu Jitsu! He subbed all his opponents, I think he knows more than sweeps. and all those guys have had the rank far longer then him. you are a hater. why? He finished everyone! You can't even hate him for winning on points! It's people like you that make this world such shit! &BTW just to be able to sweep those guys would be a major thing & something you will never be able to do. So keep on hating for no real reason & I will keep calling u on it
Ugh, the point system is hurting bjj. Sub-Only is the way to go. If you want bjj on tv or in the mainstream media, the boring, pro-stalling points system needs to done away with.
