Get well soon! You are so right, the paper makes all the difference. Doesn't matter what printer or settings i have, if the paper is not photo paper, the quality is not there. And yes, even between the photo paper is a difference, how heavier it is, the better, at least in my case - the same pages printed on matt photo paper have a better quality if printed on heavier photo. The vividity of colours is there, but something is missing on 80 grams paper. And i can't go back to copy paper, is a very dangerous road :)
Thanks darlin, very helpful. My husband changed our inkjet to a laser. 😣 I like it for journal pages and photos but miss some of the inkjet qualities. 😊💚🇦🇺xxx
Thank you for the information, its very helpful for me. I have canon printer for 8 1/2 x 11 and then bigger for other paper sizes. I have very bad allergies and stay indoors, its been hot here, I so put the a/c on because I could not breath. This is the worst year for me, take care Tracie
Miss Tracie, hope you feel better soon. Like the short Q & A videos. This is very helpful so that you know what to use. I neve3r knew this. I always used copy paper. Now I will buy the best. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
I have had many problems with various printers.. Epsom, canon, Hp and can’t remember the other one. I a,ways use their recommended ink and try to keep the jets clear but usually after the second ink change I start getting lines on the image and no matter what I try I cannot get rid of them. I’ve just bought another canon printer and after using it for a while and replacing the inks I cannot clear the images of lines. I’m exasperated by this. I bought one of your kits sometime ago but still haven’t downloaded it as I cant print it.. or I may have downloaded it and not printed it off yet! I’m not that technical regarding downloads etc yet. Thankyou for this information regarding papers.. warm regards Lynne
I had the same problems with my Epson, but is because of the head nozzles. There is an option to clean these nozzles (i don't even know what it means), first a test page, and if this page is not printed well, you can clean these head nozzles how many times is needed, till the test page is good. Is not about the ink, but this little things are clogged or blocked by the ink itself. It happens when i have an image with a big surface of darker colours, the first page is perfect, then is not, i must run this cleaning in order to get images without the lines.
@@klaire74 hi Klaire I’ve tried printing the test page a few times and running the cleaning program installed a few times too but still no joy. I’ve no idea what I can do next.. sometimes it’s just cheaper to buy another printer with the ink already installed as it works out about the same price lol! Thanks for your reply.Lynne
This is very interesting and useful. I have the Epson ET-15000 and find it really difficult to get the quality prints I need for my drawing. I use high quality paper but it makes no difference. I often get error messages (eg out of paper when it's not) and waste so much paper trying to get good quality reproductions. I kept my Brother MFC printer as a back-up and so pleased I did as it often produces better quality prints. Not sure why I'm sharing this but it helps to vent my printer frustrations 😕
I hear ya! I am not sure about the ET15000 but there should be a drop down box for paper Type, then another for printer settings and options. Just make sure they are all set correctly ALSO that you are using a high res file type. Especially if you have scanned the image. This will all help x
Hi three, can you drop me an email so I dont miss it, I am not sure what tape you refer to. I will help if I can but I dont seem to get notifications on YT. traciefoxcreative@gmail.com
I think where some of the confusion lies is in the name of the paper. We have “presentation paper” versus photo semi-gloss. It just boggles the mind. At least mine😂
I have found that it really pays to use brand ink and brand paper for the best results with photos. The printer is designed to use that ink and that paper is designed to work with that ink. With that said i find that other brand paper works ok for digital paper
