Badass... even if it's not as heavy as some of their other stuff, the idea of intense blastbeating metal being played on a national-scale TV program like this is awesome...

I think this is the only awesome (AWESOME!!!) moment in Eurovision history, I so regret I didn't see this on TV watching with my parents and grandparents

In early 2010s (i born at 2004) i used to listen Alexander Rybak a lot. I was huge fan even. I had great taste of music when i was kid, and i always loved Norway and general europe. At the same time i was discovering metal, but not black metal from norway, metalcore scene of early 10s and late 00s, asking alexandria, bvb and bands like that. After growing up discovered the beauty of Black metal. When i was 15 i started to make black metal one man band project) . Now just turned 18 and still working on it. Its interesting that i was huge fan of Alexander when i was kid now i am seeing that he also worked with BM bands, (norway stuff) Still like Alexander’s music and of course Black metal.

Heck, I liked Alexander to begin with... Now I freaking love the guy!

I love this performance so much. This is one of the best ever for a true fan, not only for love of the band but also for this particular song. I goose bumps when they sing in unison the line "we have found a way to stay divine. We march towards the stars." The hair whipping is electric. This performance should be remastered too. The live sound is incredible.

Wish it was more volume on the violin during the solo...

this is not the type of music I like, but what I was saw was a versatile virtuoso on stage playing violin on another genre, Alexander really deserves admiration for he is such a talented person

Simply LOVE this style-mix ... have a very mixed up music-tast by myselv and both Rybak and Metal are definately big faves for me.

Y'know, this was pretty killer. I love it when Metal bands go outside the norm on some things, and this was pretty badass. Plus, they seemed to be enjoying themselves, so that's an added bonus. That was probably pretty fun for them to be able to step outside the normal boundaries and do something most people would never expect. It shows open-mindedness and a will to bend the rules. And that Alexander Rybak kid was pretty enthusiastic about it, so more power to 'em lol :D

Woooow...I never thought that Rybak will play metal since he said that metal is the furthest music genre for him...however he looks so powerful while playing it, and I definately think that this is best genre for him, because he can actually fully express his energy and show all his talent . He should keep on playing it :D

Man, Norway television seems so great, if I see music like this gets mainstream broadcast time, as well as bands like Shining and Enslaved, that's the kind of music we need on television in Belgium!

When I saw Rybak first time(with his Fairytale) never would I though that he will once play a metal genre. Especially with the guys from Keep of Kallesin. It would be interesting to see him also with another norwegian hordes.

I was one of the first to cry "sellout" when I heard about KoK joining ESC, and I cried even louder when I heard the song. But this performance was awesome!

Saw them live last week. Vyl is an AMAZING drummer. He's f***ing insane. He played the whole concert like a boss and didn't even break a sweat. Actually throughout the concert it looked like he was bored because he was drumming too slow or something. God damn. Vyl is the spawn of George Kollias.

@Beastyable Well, SOMEONE hasn't seen a single Rybak interview. He is the LEAST "wanna get money!"-artist in Norway. He still shows up for small-scale celebrations, he has always said that he wants to be an artist with diversity, and is generally down-to-earth. I don't like his music, but he is a nice guy =P

Guess I'm gonna be supportin Norway this year...

@DrakoGigante Well, many say that metal is the classical music of the future, and I have to agree! I must admit, I generally don't listen to black metal, I usually listen to power metal or heavy metal, but this is one of those songs that just touches your heart! I still think that bands like Iron Maiden will be remembered longer then Keep of Kalessin, but then again, Mozart is more known then say Strauss (or anyone else then Beethoven I think), but they both made beautiful music.

If I had known they were playing there I would so be there on the first row! They live in my town god damn it. When will I be able to see them live!
