I am so happy for you. The excitement in your voice when you first purchased the addition regarding what you wanted to do was inspiring. Now seeing it come to fruition is fun. You are an inspiring young man (I'm 69, I get to call you young!🤣). You look at and plan your future, far more than many do no matter their age. Congratulations on another step forward towards your dream. Thanks for sharing and bringing us along.
I am 68 years old and loaded with cancer, and Chris inspires me to keep going, and I do. I want to make my dreams just like Chris. I have so much I want to do, and I'm getting there step by step. With Chris setting the example, I've got a whole lot more to do. That rock is beautiful. What a sign that is going to make. I hope you will have it engraved like a golf course sign. Chris, you do amazing work. Everything is beautiful when you are done. Thank you for sharing all that you do, and God bless you, Chris. You are a fine young man, sir.
You have an amazing farm, Chris. I have watched you improve it all along the way. Everything is really coming together, and I know people will want to rent the cabin ASAP. You deserve the place you have, you work very hard, and invest your time and money into your dream. And I wish you the best, Chris.
I'm a 76 year old guy just loving the effort you have been putting in over the last few years to make a great property for you and your family to enjoy and benefit from for years.
Chris, the way I see it you and Mr Bealy should have stock In that rock quarry For as much as you both have Gotten stoned from them Hope you're at least getting a discount good Lord you both are spend a lot of money there😮
Hey Chris, Nice little weekend project for the homestead. Road turned out awesome. I remember you digging up that big rock. IIRC, it was all your 220 wanted. . Lol. Glad to hear Charlie bought your Hyundai 330. I'm sure it will serve him well.
It's Use A Lot Around Here Under Permeable Pavers, 3/4in Limestone Base, 3/8in Chips As the Leveling Agent, The Geo-Grid That You Have There, Then Pavers On Top!! No Water Problems!!
Who needs a roller when you have a Mini track to use instead. Chris you make and impressive road. Very nice. Love the boulder. Nothing like a statement piece. Have a wonderful weekend.
Chris you really do a great job man I've watched a lot of your videos and learned a lot over the years of watching you I'm a lot older than you are to just love the way you do things.
Great to see the road getting done, and love to see your Cows aka Mooo Moo's. The Fram road turned out really nice, as I knew it would be, and Love the large rock you have between your two roads now.
This improvement should mitigate future heavy rainfall and flooding of the road. Gosh the road looks great especially that 'rock' for the entrance - remeber its retrieval.
Hi Chris You are doing another fantastic job on your farm but that will be very good for your own privacy everything is slowly coming together, thank's for another great video of the work your doing.
You did a good thing by putting in that tile and pulling the moisture to the creek and bringing the turf up to mowing height. I’m excited for the landscaping that you will add to the rock sign at the Y. Your neighbor says thank you for being considerate of the headlights and your guests will appreciate the blocked visibility also.
Your fabric looks like a product I've seen used on poured basement walls after the tar is sprayed on and before the gravel and backfill to protect the tar layer from getting dinged up. It also allows a space for water to flow down to the tile around the footer and keeps pressure from the tar coat
It reminds me of the product that we lined the light rail tunnel in Portland to control ground water; a layer of felt glued onto a sheet of dimpled plastic.
The roll of geo fabric is intended for the extact use you are using it for. It is for crappy subgrades and adds major strength in areas where you cannot cut soil sand. The non woven fabric on both sides of the geo webbing allows water through so the gravel does not turn to slop
Good evening! Flood control is very important. We have had a historic amount of rain in June and a very wet spring and summer. To keep such drains and pipes clean is very important.
The quartz rock is a nice touch! Goes to show how far in the future you think, I remember a video from awhile ago that you were digging big rocks out of the trees
Chris’ years of experience makes every job look so easy….even with the equipment, it would take me twice or even three times as long as him. Great job Chris.
It has been a long time coming, and it looks nice, and it will make the property so much better and add to the privacy access to the farm. Looks great, congratulations on the road completion, one less thing on the ole list of things to do, thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.
Getting that special fabric for the price you did seems like quite a good deal and should do you a lot of good for that road. Sure seems to spread the load out and keep the ground pressure down on any one area that you put it.
@@nandi123 Chris has no control over it. It is up to RU-vid. Although he can remove the spam from the comments, according to one tech expert, but he has us. :)
Like I said before, what a difference just by upgrading the roadway, will benefit the surrounding area on the homestead.nice to have drivers that are willing to work with you.just keep managing the farm improvements the way you want them to be.great video, looks good for what you have accomplished so far.be safe.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Love seeing those South Korean tractors out perform Deere and Kubota any time I can! I was looking at Deere and realized they were in the "right to repair" lawsuit so between that, the way higher cost and Kubota being about the same price as Deere and all the proprietary attachments I bought a TYM. Same hp rating $4000 less, standard skid steer quick attach and way higher capacities. My neighbors soul at me and I don't regret it one bit. Automakers, same deal. The F 350 platinum Diesel I looked at a little more than a year ago was right at $100k. It's still at the dealer for $67k now. If Camel Toe wins in November I will keep waiting.
That fabric your using also gets put on top of liner at landfills which is the inky place I’ve used it and seen it before definitely is a lot of fun to cut
I live in NC in Craven County and I just bought a big house in Maine and a separate 13acres! Ever since I've been watching you, DP, and Bealygood, Ive learned so much about land management and hope to be doing alot of tree removal and clean up of that 13 acres by myself which I'm very confident on doing! Of course I don't own any equipment except for a tractor with a bush hog and a box blade, I'll be renting equipment like a mini excavator and so on! Chris I would like to learn how to use a transom, is there anything out there that can teach me that without attending a class?? Once I get that done I'll be pretty much unstoppable!! Letsdig18 and Dirt Perfect and Bealy good, you guys are awesome teachers all I need is some practice on equipment and I'll be deadly! I'm hoping to own more acreage in Maine!! At the end of the month I'm leaving NC and starting a new life in Maine! Thank you guys for showing us all how things are to be done the correct way! YOU GUYS ROCK!! Even when I get to Maine I'll still be watching you guys and Chris and Bealygood you guys will make me feel like I'm back in NC!!
It gives me a really good feeling to see you improving your property. Altho no benefit to myself, I really like seeing someone trying and succeeding at their endeavors. Now, before you get old like me, plant some sweet cherry trees, some apples, plums and pears. Peaches are a PITA to tend too and altho a favorite of black birds and early frosts, you can get frost blankets and bird screens for the cherries. Is the little oak tree you transplanted a while back thriving?
By the new Project beginning You the Roads to Update and from the by Rain to running Water make safe. There Road building not new for You. You work with the greatest to know and the best Material. You to yee by this Work very Interesting. Thanks for this Video 👌
That fabric is used on foundation. And it would seem on driveways also. I actually think it's a great idea for roads as it has that core to move water away instead of just a thin fabric
Yes Sir, that is really going to look good once ya get your sign, and landscaped out around that Big Rock !! I can already see it !! gonna look good... Road turned out nice to Chris !! Yeah Man, that thick ass Fabric you laid down threw there ought to fix any pump problems, i'd say !! lolol... Great as Always Man, Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
That was a good guess. That material is used by being placed vertical on a foundation wall. Any water filtering thru the soil to reach the outside layer of fabric penetrates the fabric and is then transported down the wall to an underdrain by means of the inner geogrid.
We used to roll that out on the sides of the sulfuric acid pond when we were building them in the mines, it would allow the acid to run below the rock and we could pump it out of the very bottom.
At the fork of the new farm road,i think cedar fence post would look nice,2 feet out the ground in a v shape to follow the contour,or any wooden posts or beams, nice flowers around it😊
