wow this was reallly good.... I was sitting here feeling lost.. but I feel so much better right now being reminded of the truth.. I have been surrounded by a lot of atheists.. I am muslim Alhumdulilah. but it does take a toll on you.. wish I could move to somewhere that I have better people around me that don't make me feel out of place.. anyways!! you made my day! Alhumdulilah
Well said bro. I listened whole-heartedly to this entire lecture. Its very easy to point fingers. I think we should appreciate the Ustadhas' knowledge and ability to deliver a complex subject in simple words. If this person cannot control himself, he should not be looking at the Ustadha while listening to the lecture. I personally minimized this window so that I could focus on listening instead of looking at the Ustadha. We men have a weakness, so we should try our best to mitigate it.
this sister is indeed amazing! seriously! she has an ability to explain confusing thing in a perfect way, simple, great anology, easy to understand...i really get benefit from all her lectutes..may Allah protect this sister and reward all her effort by educating the ummah
May Allah swt bless sister Yasmin she's really an inspiration and I love listening to her talks and reading her articles. May Allah swt continue to bless her and her family with every form of barakat and grant her and them Jannat ul Firdaus aameen
As Salam Alaikum , Masha Allah Sister and Ustadha Yasmin Mogahed delivering excellent lecture on Keeping Heart alive topic , very nice and Knowledgable. Allah Almighty give Sister Yasmin - Jannatul Firdous . Aameen From :- Muhammad Ali Mujahed , Hyderabad , INDIA
you are an amazing sister. The things you emphasize, it hits right away. My heart is dead; even if I tried to pray, I could not. I became doubtful and lazy. All I do is listen to lectures. Allah know what is next...pray for me sister. Your brother, from Sweden.
It's really nice lecture, sister Yasmin. And requesting to all the viewers please instead of criticise and looking for errors take the positive one. We are no one is perfect in the world that's why we are human beings.
Good job on you for uploading the lecture, masha'Allah! We're doing a Halaqah here in Australia based on this lecture, alhamdulillah.. May Allah grant you all, especially sister Yasmin with Jannah.
Thank you sister! very inspiring and good to see women like this come up in this arena, and sharing knowledge that is useful for this life and hereafter!!
I believe some of the muslims commenting on here aren't judging, rather they are just giving the islamic view on this matter. If I was doing something incorrect then I would expect my brothers/sisters to correct me. And I wouldn't think of them as being judgemental. As for the top comment on here, then one of the brothers has made it clear that he can't handle himself by asking whether or not the sister's married.
I don't think it's wrong for a man to look at this sister and acknowledge that she is pretty (mashAllah) but then he must try to hear what she has to say. Just like I may watch a video by brother Nouman Ali Khan and acknowledge that he is a good looking brother (mashAllah) but then I listen to what he has to say
Asalaamu alaykum, The viewer does not need to watch the video part of the lecture; they can easily minimize the tab so there is no temptation to gaze upon Sr. Yasmin. As you can see, she is fully covered and thus the burden of lowering the gaze is upon the viewers.
Actually, we just had bad technology. We had to use a computer's webcam to record. It is not necessarily haraam for people to see a woman giving a lecture.
@ineedyou1994 my sister because the sister is not wearing Niqab does not mean its not wajib. Infact according to the scholars its obligatory and some say its obligatory sunnah, either way the word obligatory is there.Whatever applies to the wives of rasuululah also apply to believing women according to the Quran. We have to be careful the things we say without proof.Everything we do in our Deen has to have proof.
i know you mean well but you really shouldnt say idol since this is attributed to worship a better word to say is that yasmin mujahid is your inspiration :)
Bro, your comment makes me feel so bad about us men! honestly man. She is covering, she is doing her part. Are we men so low in character that we can't handle ourselves if only a womens face is showing. Think about it! Stop looking at women like objects. Please. And about your question, well i think if all men think like yourself then we are doomed! She is doing her part, YOU do your part!
that is very nice lecture but too late for me.. my heart is broke my trust is broke... it left nothing to keep or to protect... may allah swt forgive me and all of us.
Ameen, sister. May Allah (swt) forgive all of us. Sister, creation such as people, can break our trust. But Allah can always be trusted, and every hardship in our lives is a trial of emaan, how much we love and are patient for Allah (swt). That's why we are meant to put our trust in Allah alone. I know this can be hard, it is challenging for most people, but it comes from understanding Allah (swt) correctly. It is worth it because we will be rewarded on the Day of Judgement for our trust in Allah (swt).
@LAILA51469 Actually this sister has her hijab on, but are you lowering your gaze? She's done her job, now you do yours. You only need to minimize the window or just scroll down so you don't see the video.
Wa alikum Salam. I was using a bit of dry humor. I've seen comments from supposed brothers and sisters commenting on the fact that she had made alterantionto her eyebrows and things of that nature. I found it offenesive. So I was being sarcastic with the trolls.
"And tell the believers to Lover their Gaze and protect their private parts that is purerer for them verily Allahs knows what you are up to" I advise to post voice lectures only without picture because lots of men are watching you :(
this sister is a really nice person, but i don't agree with sisters with knowledge showing themselves and speaking on you tube, the comment above just proved why. mashaAllah i think she's still pretty in hijab....what do you think men will think?
