Hello again from our puglitos! Welcome to another episode of KEEPING UP WITH THE PUGLITOS and this is our weeks 2 - 4 update from our now more awake, more active fluffballs. At around 12-14 days, the puppies' eyes have opened. At this stage they also start walking, lifting their limbs and going around. It's a beautiful sight. We are past the very critical stages. Sadly, for reasons we could not point out, one of the puglitos got sick at around week 4. No worries though, his growth rate might have suffered a bit, but he is well and good now. He is just a bit smaller than the others, but he is playing and bouncing like the rest. What a resilient boy!
At around 4 weeks, our pugs are already active enough so we provided a play area where they could experience new textures and stuff. Slowly introducing them to new surfaces and things will help them build confidence. This way it is not too much for them when we bring them to a new environment. While doing this, we made sure that the play area we provided is safe for puppies. They do get a sudden burst of energy and we don't want them bumping into things and hurting themselves too much.
