Nice job! I'm a sucker for upgrading to a hard-wired crossover, neat work. When doing this sort of thing myself, I have often found that air-cored inductors need more turns than their ferrite-cored equivalent, so tend to have a higher DC resistance: a) Did you compare the two? b) If yes, how close did you get?
@@TheRealWindlePoons Thanks for the comment. Yes as you know air core inductors use a lot more wire. That's more expensive hence why manufacturers use iron core. I measured the inductance and DC resistance as I need to keep both the same. I try and stay within 10% on the DC resistance.
