It’s true. Before I was saved, I use to hang out with industry people at their houses - I would see their altars and all types of stuff that I didn’t understand until I gave my life to Christ. Yo this just bugged me out. In South Africa, similar thing is done (they are called sangomas or "traditional healers"). Done at the beach/ ocean. From what I understand there are rankings in the spirit realm, just like some angels are higher than others, so it is with demons. So the higher demon is the name they take upon themselves but they are possessed by a lower demon that serves under the higher demon.

You are wrong, demon or demonic is a Christian term, the path work is entirely different, there isnt a demon named Oshun, there's nothing within the grimoire with this name, your crossing folk magic with theology, I will agree with you in one aspect, these spirits require veneration, they will not tolerate the laziness like Christians give.
