Keighley and Worth Valley Railway - Spring Steam Gala 2018

The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway held their Spring gala between 9th - 11th. March 2018. Visiting locos included 70013 'Oliver Cromwell', 7F No.53808 and Black Five No.44871. The video was filmed on the Friday of the three day event and includes the following scenes;
70013 'Oliver Cromwell' - on the GN straight, piloting S160 no.5820, approaching and departing Oakworth. Apologies for the flash of orange in the second clip due to the gent alongside me turning to pan.
53808 - GN straight, banked by Taff Vale tank No.85, piloting 70013 at Damens Loop and finally Top Field.
75078 - climbing to Ingrow West
44871 - climbing to Ingrow West, banked by No.85 and leaving Damens Loop
1054 - GN straight
5820 - climbing to Oakworth and Mytholmes

Another masterclass video thanks, Austin. Super choice of locations, giving not only dramatic video but also great audio - especially the echoes. The limited amount of residual snow was literally the icing on the cake in terms of scenery. My compliments on your forbearance over the 'flash of orange'. Kind regards, Bob.

Many thanks Bob, could only manage a day at the KWVR so it was a little hectic but very enjoyable with some excellent loco performances.

Excellent shots of an excellent array of locos Austin. I didn't used to like Big Jim but appreciate her/him/it now - especially for performances such as these. Really enjoyed the close pan shot of 70013 leaving Oakworth too.

Excellent video. Only travelled once on the line, back in 1979! Missed getting a train on my 2nd visit in 2012, but went to Haworth station to re-create a scene. Scarily enough, apart from a CCTV camera nothing had changed! Will be back there though on my next UK trip. Keep up the great work

Thanks very much Mike. The fact that the KWVR hasn't changed much is one of its endearing features for me. I first went there in 1969 and it hasn't lost its appeal yet! I hope you get to visit the line again

Thank you. It was good to see and hear 70013, a favourite loco. Quite a special light for the goods with 5820 which should have been the 7F but it had a few problems in the morning
