Keighley is a market town and a civil parish in the City of Bradford Borough of West Yorkshire, England. It is the second largest settlement in the borough, after Bradford. It takes an average of 25m to travel from Keighley to Bradford Forster Square by train, over a distance of around 8 miles (13 km). Keighley is perhaps most famous among steam enthusiasts for its railway station - terminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway a lovingly restored steam railway. The town was incorporated as a municipal borough on 28 July 1882 under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act 1882 in the West Riding of Yorkshire.
