Two of my favorites! I have seen Keiko a few times in D.C., including front row at Blues Alley. I love watching Gerald play at South in Philly whenever I get the chance. Both artists are outstanding, and are great jazz contributors.

I got to know Keiko back in the early 90's and loved her music. I saw her in two shows in US and had a chance to talk with her. She is a fantastic pianist and composer. Her music touch us so deep that you sit and hear her during many hours and expect more and more from her. I have tried to share her music with many people in Brazil and everyone just loved. As you hear all CD's and DVD's one can notice the evolution of her compositions and a little shift to the jazz while keeping the same wonderful taste for the contemporary music.

This is Amazing!!!! I just love her music!! And him on bass is a great addition.

Is that back ground sound all comes from this keyboard?

Not sure Keiko as accomplished as she is on boards, is a conventional "jazz" artist or pianist. Her music on the board is almost too clean, lyrical, linear, and harmonious. Jazz isn't really any of those qualities. Keiko does qualify as "smooth jazz" or whatever they refer to that commercial genre these days, but hers I would submit is a unique niche kind of like Dave Grusin, David Benoit, Vince Guaraldi, et al. It is almost classical music in texture and arrangement, mixed or blended with pop/standards/50's/lounge player. Dave Brubeck she isn't, but that isn't a damning statement; it is just a more technical description of who she is as a pianist and musical artist. She is unique and her sound is beautiful.
