July 26th: Happy birthday Smooth jazz-Jazz Fusion Keyboardist-Composer Keiko Matsui. Thank you and God bless. Thanks for the upload, Shanachie Entertainment. Blessings
I believe while composing The Edge of Twilight she certainly was inspired by a song from her first album, A Drop of Water, named Fairy. Both are great!
Actually, this is sort of a remake of the piece "Faerie" in the COSMOS album called "Musitopia" You can listen to this original piece in the following link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rw4e_BUv8qc.html (This is a whole album and the third one is Faerie). Cosmos is a Japanese female trio keyboard band and Keiko was one of them. Fairy in the album "A Drop of Water" is a "song" version of this original piece. A few of Keiko's pieces are actually from her original compositions released in her Cosmos era.
#SmoothJazz
Incredible. She describes her composing process as listening to the silent voice of nature. Here, she seems to be channeling Joe Sample and Nick Webb. Just listen...
