I didn't get the impression she was. She talks about it quite lovingly in other interviews. i think the ppl around her at the time felt embarrased about it tho. She also said she would support a sequel cause the original script had the two leads as lesbians and she has stated she would have loved to have that.

I saw Bend It Like Beckham in theaters and many times since. It was not the first Keira movie I saw - that would be Princess of Thieves - but it’s certainly my favorite. Parminder Nagra deserves recognition, too - it was her movie, after all. 😊

She is exceptionally talented! I want to see her in more things, in bigger projects. But I suspect it's her own choice to do smaller, quieter films. She probably turns down a lot of offers. At the height of her fame and popularity, she was everywhere. I think she grew tired of it and decided to step back. I really wish to see more of her though.

Loved bend it like Beckham! All time favourite. Parminder nagra did so well as did Keira. But she disappeared into oblivion after a few appearances while keira went on to become the star she is. I do love Keira. Clearly speaks of the times when there were no big roles for the likes of Parminder despite her talent.
