I remember the day of the plane crash. I was a youth pastor upstairs in my office when i heard on the radio that Keith Green was killed in a plane wreck. I was shocked in disbelief as many were at the news. I remember going to one of his concerts in Long Beach, CA. Completely SOLD OUT. Keith would preach between songs. Very penetrating songs with deep conviction. It was not your typical entertainment type of Christian concert. It was a church service with an altar call. There has NOT been a Christian musician who has used music as a medium to preach like a "fire breathing" evangelist like Keith Green since. It was a different time. Oh, that modern worship leaders & Christian music artists would stop trying to exalt themselves as Rock Stars and Magnify the King of Kings as Keith Green did🙌
Was a young single very alone Mom a few yrs after Keith passed! 17-18 yrs old & this would come on my radio & just transform the atmosphere & my chilled dying heart & make it new!❤ Now a Grandma. Retired disabled Lay Crisis Counselor/First Responder/Foster Adopt parent 45yrs in Seattle area. And I couldn't have done any good thing without GOD, and being able to Praise HIM through it all, pow experience & all! Especially the pow experience, on-going in some ways! BUT GOD❤🎉❤

When I was a new christian Keith's music gave me a sense of the love God had for me when I had no body. It managed to get gods word into my hard broken heart.
Just like so many people, Keith Greens love and sincere love for God in his recordings. I do cry when I hear Psalms 23 and Psalms 8, How Majestic is Your Name, and other songs. I am so inspired even to this day to worship our Lord. I remember how much Melody Green’s ministry helped me grow in Christ. Hallelujah!
I've recently become a Keith Green fan/brother in Christ even though he's on the other side but he's happier now than any of us can imagine. "Eye have not seen, ear have not heard, neither has it entered the hearts of those who love The Lord", 1st Corinthians 2:9.
My friend gave me one of Keith Green's music tape in the 90s. It is 2024 and I am still living for Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus for giving us Keith Green and the music to encourage us to live for You every moment of our lives
'75 for me. I was honored to mix sound when he sang at our church in '76. My wife to be went forward that evening... no compromise, 46 years later, including 40 in ministry. God is Good!
I listened to Keith in the 1980s-90s and my daughter told me recently that she was listening to him and worshipping Jesus last year, and remembered hearing these songs as a child. Timeless encouragement to devote ourselves to our beautiful Savior!
He exudes the love of Christ in and through his life and through his music. The anointing on this man and his music is still so powerful today even after all these years since his death, his music still reaches and changes lives all over the world in which and still continues to be Gods great commission. He was and still is Gods instrument. God bless all who are listening to his anointed servant today. I exceptioned Jesus in 1984 after an exempt at trying to remove my life from the living. After coming to know Christ as my redeamer Keith was a place with his music reminded me of my saviors love for me when I was down.
Some say Keith never achieved his vision, but he left a "long-blazing trail" which continues today, including a treasury of influence and music, far more influence than could be in a lifetime, though he was taken from us far too soon (about the time I was born again).
At 28 years he archieved alot more than a 60 year old could have done.the word of God has reached all the corners of the universe because he listened to God's command to go and evangelise
He was one of the primary influences for my wife and kids to go to the mission field. Early on he sang at our church and I mixed sound. Later, we went to a Jesus West Coast and we heard his call to missions... he died soon after and we heard Melody was coming to San Pedro near us. The Mercy ship Anastasia was going to dock there and she was going to dedicate it for its work. Only two weeks after Keith's death!? We went and it was awesome. We re-commited our lives to missions. 5 years later we were serving Wycliffe Bible Translations in the Philippines as technical support. As with the 5 men who were martyred in Ecuador, Keith's death also became the impetus for many to go into missions. Even with the sad mistakes that caused the plane crash, Kieth fulfilled all that God had for him. AMEN.
After being born again and baptized in 1976 my mom took me to Keith’s concert at the Field House in Tacoma, WA. I attended the Jesus Northwest concert/camp as well. My husband and I still have these two albums and have shared it with our children who really liked the song, “So you wanna go back to Egypt”. Timeless music indeed that has been a part of our lives since our early 20’s.

I did too. I surrendered my life to Jesus when I turned 21 in 1978, but was still listening to music that was hindering my relationship with God. So when the Holy Spirit asked me to stop, I wondered what would I listen to and a Christian friend introduced me to Keith's music. Now the younger generation is blessed by his talent and the Word of God that he proclaims in such a wonderful way.
Keith loves Jesus amazing voice gentle but full of awe for his God. Our God be praised. You have all our lives i pray i give you every part of my heart ❤
It's amazing, the whole package! His vocals aren't spectacular, but it is how he uses them! His music definitely tells a story! Each note, connatone, tiber & instrumentals that top it off better than a cherry 🍒 ❤❤😂😂❤ He was uniquely gifted by GOD! I often wonder of we were & are hearing a modern day David, who sang before the LORD! Wouldn't surprise me, GOD blessing us with 1 in these last days, as in the first! GOD is the same yesterday, today & forever! Teaching us how to PRAISE & WORSHIP! ❤ Both sing the psalms, & GOD has such a delightful sense of humor!
We listened to these songs as children over and over back in the 80s, we have the lyrics etched in our minds. Back then we had no idea that we were being established in the Word through this music! One of my siblings was even named after Keith Green. I know I'll meet him in person one sweet day when we all get to heaven!
Jesus is praised. I love how these songs are just an expression of love for Jesus. Yes indeed i love how he sings scripture. Its not contemporary worship music, which has its place. But this is totally all God 🙏 without the fancies ❤😊
