Keith Richards Falls Down and Mick Jagger Gets Angry!!

At a July 4th, 2015 Concert at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Keith Richards took a nasty fall and Mick Jagger became angry at an audience member for throwing water on stage. One viewer, stated in the comments that a woman threw a hat on stage which caused Keith Richards to trip.
This video needs to be seen because everyone falls. Those people who can dust themselves off and get back in the race with a smile on their face inspire me. Keith has a great attitude and is an inspiration to us all. Hopefully, you can look deeper into the universal themes of this clip and be inspired too!!
The title says it all, but the show must go on regardless!!
When compiling this video, it was my intent to include two events in one clip. Previously, these incidents were posted in two separate videos.

I met Keith face-to-face back in the early 1990's early one morning on the streets of New York City while on my way to work. He was hanging out by his limo near 19th Street and Broadway. I walked up to him, held out my hand and said, "I love you, man" and he replied, "I love you, too" as he shook hands with me and got into the limo. He was not bothered by a fan like me taking up his time. Actually, he was a very kind and easy-going gentleman.

Exactly, obviously the only proper way to recover is to carry on with the show like nothing happened. Seems simple yeah, but if anyone unimpressed thinks its so easy. Go shit the bed via falling down, missing notes or starting the wrong song and try to move along by catching up and getting in time and in your place with the rest of the band without stopping. If the embarrassment doesn't have you fumbling til the end of the song alone, then the hurrying up and finding the perfect spot to jump back in could burn your brain up.

I’m 70 and in June had an emergency repair for a dissected Ascending aorta aneurysm that had dissected. Last month, despite relatively low risk factors, I had a stroke from which I’m 99% recovered,and three years ago I had spinal fusion to repair a partially dislocated lumbar vertebrae that had made be non-ambulatory. So, Keith and company, you’re doing great. Truly Inspiring! We love you! Keep it up!

Uh i had back problems ever since i went to try a new job. I was a painter for 10 years but decided to work fixing foundation of houses. I had to dig the earth by hand. One cold and windy day that i felt a pain that made me stop moving, i could not get out of the pit i made literally... Now i cant work as a painter anymore i drive a school bus... My back hurts whenever i get cold

There’s a video from 1981 of a fan running at Jagger on stage and Keith took the fan out with his guitar and the damn thing stayed in tune. Mick and Keith have had each other’s back for decades.

My mom is 75 and when she gets MRI of her spine , it's crooked and totally horrible. Doctors can't believe that she's not in a wheelchair. Her belief is that as soon as you get lazy you will "rust ". She is amazing! Just as the Rolling Stones! Attitude is everything. Keep the brain young and the body will too

So glad Keith came out of that fall okay! 😎 I went to their concert in Dallas Nov. 2nd at the Cotton Bowl and it rained on and off all the way through it but no one seemed to notice, the place was packed and everyone stood up and danced the entire evening, They were great as usual! Mick made a joke about how he’s not going to dance as much this time because he was afraid he’d slip and fall on the wet stage, but he never stopped moving and dancing in the rain throughout the whole show 😄 He’s still hot, the Stones is the best of the best, they’re all phenomenal and legendary.

This might be why the stage crew quickly rolled up the rug on the runway right in the middle of the Pittsburgh concert. I figured someone must've tripped on it. It's no laughing matter. My friend has a rod in his leg and hip from a poorly placed rug at the grocery store. It's so dark in there and with the lights in your face It's hard to see. I'm happy you're safe Keith! Love you guys!

Have mercy, people: This was very clearly cobbled together from 3 different occasions. Keith fell on July 4th of 2017 or whatever year it was because some utter jackass had thrown a plastic hat onto the catwalk. Implying that Mick was angry at Keith because of this incident is asinine. He does get annoyed when people throw things, because it's dangerous and distracting. Learn from this, people. Don't throw things at the Stones.

Suddenly at 0:38, Jagger removes coat and hat and unbuttons shirt to point (this is from another video where he's pointing to stage people that a man has collapsed in the crowd and needs help). SUDDENLY at 1:07 DURING THE SONG IN FRONT OF A LIVE AUDIENCE, Jagger decides to put on his overcoat, button up his shirt and put on a cap whilst maintaining his "anger". Seriously crap clickbait!

They had to stop the show and he took to the mic and layed into that section but GOOD. He was pissed.

I feel privileged that i live in that same period of time as this band (and some others) where people could compose and perform so many beautiful songs and make our life a lot more ''musical and colorful''....But at the same time -and as the time goes by- , i feel sad to see that there are no more so much new original groups that are trying to maintain that type of music...It is ok, to evolve in new ways & new types of music but for sure these kind of bands, should have a lot more space in todays music scene... Hope for a ''back to back'' in the future!!!

i agree but after seeing my friend keith is alright and laughing ,i have to admit the shit is funny , some people just cant stop laughing at falls even they feel bad and worried about the incident. and it depends of course of keith's reaction cause maybe he was on the floor and he was joking , come on is keith , i dont think nobody laughs if they see him in pain , you have to be an ass hole in case you do it , but if the guy is laughing himself , you know is kind of i dont want to laugh but... i can't stop it situation i think somebody throws water and this is why mick threatens with throw back water of his cup at this person this is why i dont like fanatics i never asked for an autograph in my 45 years of listening music and go to concerts, you can be a supporter or a fan but some people just dont understand where is the limit ,and what you can do or not

In 2016 I traveled to Mexico to watch them for first time. It was amazing but what really impressed me was their energy and fun in stage. Suddenly you see Mick approaching to Keith and telling him something off mics and Keith explode with laughter... they really were having fun up there... like if it was 60's. The visual visual contact during performance... So professional and - at same time- so spectacular. Legend level for sure.

They love playing music with each other that’s why they do it. I realized that after seeing them many times and all the smiles. One of his tour assistants once said that “when Mick Jagger smiles everything is all right with the world”.

Don't you believe they had much fun in the 60's. 29 minute shows where you couldn't hear beyond the screams and some serious stage posing, shivering and shaking to let you know they were the greatest musical gift ever bestowed on humanity.

They are experts, they have been doing this for years,there is nothing that they haven't encountered before. They can handle every situation, they can create all genre of music. The stage is their armchair, their second home. They're so comfortable at what they do.

maybe but at his age a fall like that could have been bad. saying that, all the drugs he has had in his system over the years has probably killed off his nerves so he wont feel pain lol

Considering his lifestyle, Keith should be playing guitar for Janis,Jim, Jimi & Keith Moon, but here he is still on the planet. You can't say he looks old because he has always looked weathered & well worn. The invincible, timeless, ageless Mr Richards......Rock On!

My Dad saw them in Seattle in 1975. He told me when Keith started to sing Happy, he fell backwards, (drug induced). Without missing a beat or messing up a word, Jagger finished the lead vocal while Keith played guitar on his back while trying to get up. So he's been there before! At least here he's able to get up. I believe that audio is on RU-vid somewhere.

Let me get this straight: at the beginning, Jagger is wearing a long jacket and a hat (until 0:15, when Richards slips); then, when he "gets angry" (0:37) both his hat and jacket are gone; he's only wearing now a red shirt (until 0:37). Then, suddenly (1:04) "the show must go on", and he's wearing both hat and jacket again 🤨. As for Keef, when he slips and falls (0:15) he's wearing a black shirt and a kind of blue vest; he's still wearing this outfit when shrugging and smiling to the audience (0:59); but, during Mick's angry moment towards the crowd, he can be seen on the background, next to Charlie, quietly playing a Tele (not a white one, mind you), without a vest and with a kind of purple shirt on (0:49). I mean, it's not the End of the World, but something's not quite right here.

He admitted he made that up. He slipped while jumping from a tree branch to the ground from a height of about seven feet and hit his head on the tree trunk. He did not even think he was injured until the next day.

I just turned 65 and had a similar fall four days ago. Took me about the same time to get up. For Keith to rebound like that is impressive. I was in a mild shock and partially got the wind knocked out and I have bruised ribs that hurt like heck. I was done working for the day. Kudos to Keith and Mick.

I met Keith Richards 1989 Steel Wheels Tour, Atlanta. I was out of my league backstage. He ,instead of shaking my hand, that I offered. Took my hand and said "enchanté and kissed my hand. A perfect gentleman. Give him a break.

(I never have, never will have the style, cool, or grace of Keith Richards, no matter what I'm doing.) He never fails to astound me. I hope he was ok. That looked like it hurt. Made my body & heart hurt, to watch. 💔

Saw them in 1978 and 1981 at Philadelphia JFK. I was 15yrs old for Some Girls Tour in 1978. Close to 100,000 people. I can't believe they are still working? I mean it doesn't seem possible? Lots of good memories. Thanks guys.

I was there friend!! JFK Stadium. I saw Live Aid there also. Mick and Tina rocked the place and Keef!! Keef pissed off Bob Dylan. Dylan was doing Blowing in the Wind. He was sitting down on the corner of the stage. Just him and his guitar. Well, who bust through the curtains but Ronnie Wood and Keef. Well Keiths guitar was out of tune he was yelling to the stage hands to bring another. Then he broke a string on the 2nd guitar 🎸 He was yelling to the chicks in the 2nd row to pass up their wine...which they did. Bobby was pissed.. Lol

These guys are terrific. They've entertained us for 60 years and still keep going. I really hate when all some people can say is that they are a bunch of old guys. They can sing and play real instruments and have done so artfully for decades. Better than that pseudomusic and techno racket we listen to today. BTW, that was a nasty fall that Keith Richards took. Lucky he wasn't hurt or his instrument damaged. If someone threw something on stage, shame on them. Once heard that someone threw something on the stage during a Frank Zappa concert. He stopped the music and scolded the audience. Told them that the venue was a nice place and not to throw crap around. Could have been at Royal Oak Music Theater in metro Detroit area.

I have been falling down since I was born in 1958. As a kid I couldn’t walk down a hallway without bouncing off the walls. Keith and l have something in common. We both know how to roll. God bless Keith Richards.
