Keith Richards is such a humble and great person through all struggles he went through. And it's sweet to show his grandchildren and Keith Richards soft side. It's great that Keith went sober to see his grandchildren from his kids. It's sad that his ex Anita it was not to go she passed away. Keith doesn't say much but he put Mick in his place.
Early interviews he's kind of the shy one that quips in with the right witty comment, always keeping himself out of the "public eye" and lately he's been really the storyteller of the band and we've come to know so much more about him. I've gotta give thanks to my dad for singing me Stones songs to put me to sleep as a baby and playing their music instead of having me watch Barney growing up. My number 1 favourite band to this day - have never gotten sick of hearing any one of their songs and Keith continues to be my role model in positive ways :).
One thing (amongst many others) that I like about Keith and the other Stones is, that they got old in dignity, have accepted their wrinkles, never underwent any plastic surgery and never used botox. Keith had only got his teeth done once. You can't say that about many celebrities
Don't miss his great memoir, "Life", 2010. He had a diary for years and he did not miss much. The late Robin Williams had some funny takes on Richards.
I’ve heard various accounts from him what the skull ring means. He says something different here, but my favourite meaning is that “We’re all the same under the skin”. A great anti racist motto, and a very fitting one for Keith especially.
My mother worked at the News Theatre in Manchester, which only show cartoons and The three Stooges and is opposite the Odean where they were performing. One day she was selling ice cream and she said 4/5 boys were in and bought her ice creams. "They were very polite. Nice boys", she said. The next time they were on TOTPs, she said,"Those are the nice boys that bought my ice cream." She didn't know who they were. They must have been taking a break and decided to watch cartoons.
Wonder if he’s gonna do like his grandpa and tease his grandkids with a guitar on the wall to see if they’re interested in it, teach em Malagueña, etc.
Keef, I'm a new librarian and looked for information on the book for my work because it is so popular. I'm delighted to see that the surname of the authors is that of your grandchild and you. I've seen two Stones concerts and have all of the Stones albums. I loved your book "Life" and hope you keep enjoying and rocking on. Cheers!
Hes so wise.....hes so talented......hes so guitar god....hes KEITH.....the outside stuff is fun to look at.....without the inside to match......its simply another pretty face.....Mr. Richards is Beautiful for sure and almost as handsome as my Dad was......mmmmmmmmmuah!!.....Give MICK a hug from us!!......Adios fer now....
The band name The Stones is perfect for Keith who was stoned a lot. He is my fav though...imagine a date with Keith...it would be wild. Yeah...in my dreams...
Lots of baby boomer musicians died this year and this guy will live on even though his drug use was far more than that of Prince, David Bowie, Glenn Frey and others.
Wonder if he was ever on when Leno was there? Think it would have been better, but appreciate this rare moment as the Stones were never big on interviews, and, they didn't have to be! SO well known!
13 seconds '' COOL '' ? meaning , what ? holier than thou ? or, '' i am greater '' ? '' look '' at me, worship me, i'm cool ......?? this society is going downhill, the writings on the '' i '' of i phones.... er, on the wall.......
