You are a hero of mine... if you are looking for a good game to play I would suggest "River City Ransom" for the NES if you can find a friend to play with co-op it's even BETTER... I mean you punch bad guys... they say 'BARF' and drop coins... how awesome is that?!?!

I would love to see him playing some "recent" games with retro graphics style, like The Messenger, Infernax, Axiom Verge, Shovel Knight, Odallus, Biolab Wars, Oniken, Panzer Paladin...

Shatterhand was another game for the NES that had the same vibes as this for me. Also, Lawnmower Man on the SNES was surprisingly fun, at least for my kid brain.
