Keith Urban "Light the Fuse" Electric Guitar Review 

I picked up one of these at a pawn shop. I too have had many guitars over my 30 plus years of playing. I looked up the reviews for the guitar before I bought it. There are lots of bad reviews for the guitar, but, I thought it was a nice looking guitar and I didn't have a lp style guitar so I thought I'd give it a try. I was pleased with it for the price. The frets were finished nicely, all the electronics worked. The intonation seemed fine. For the money, I think this is a fine little guitar. Yes, you can get an epiphone pretty cheap too and you know it is going to be a good bang for the buck, but, what I like about this one is that it looks a little different. I like something a little different. You can always upgrade the pickups and electronics if you want to, but, for the price I paid, I am happy. Most guitars are made in China now regardless of the name anyway. And even the branded parts come from China. Just 'cause your tuners, for example, say "grover" on them, there is a very good chance they were made in China. You can no longer trust brand names as a reflection of quality, the only way to know is to pick up the guitar (or whatever) and try it out for yourself. If you see one of these hanging around a pawn shop or guitar store with an attractive price, it can't hurt you to go over and try it out. Maybe you too will find a good one that someone traded it 'cause someone on the internet said it was a "bad" guitar. My experience on the internet is that are lots of guitars "experts" out there who don't know squat.

A good musician doesn't need a good instrument, an instrument needs a good musician.

The urban light the fuse guitars are very good. I have a Brazilian blonde one. No issues at all. I also just ordered the new urban guitar. Definitely a great guitar for the money.

Thanks for your review, I just ordered the black one. I am a complete beginner and was on the fence about buying this. I was also looking at a Fender Squire, but this had a complete package and decided to go with this one mainly because of your video. Great review and even better sound test. I may still pick up Fender Squire if all goes well, just so I can have that single coil sound as well. Thanks again.

I just saw that they had this guitar/amp "21-piece" set on HSN as a holiday special for $149.95 shipped. I figured for $150, I could afford to throw some quality pickups in it and have a fun little picker. Unfortunately I saw it too late and it was sold out by the time I noticed it. I don't think I would do the $389.95 price, but for $150 it seemed like a no-brainer.

A good guitarist can play a broom stick and make it sound good lol. You undoubtedly could play a broomstick, but I appreciate the review of this guitar. I enjoyed your playing. You make that look pretty easy. I agree that learning on a trash guitar will kill your desire to play. I kept trying to play the same $125 Lyle for 25 years. All I learned was how to tune. I'm serious, learning any music was impossible. Then I bought a decent Gibson six string. Pretty big jump but I'm very glad I did it. The damn thing actually stays in tune for hours, sometimes days. Anyway, nice vid, thanks.

Grreat video.... I don't think I'll buy one. I love nice guitars.... I'll stick with the Martins ( one acoustic, my Road Series acoustic/ electric ) . I think YOUR COMMENTS are VERY IMPORTANT to those people out there beginning. I too have been playing off and on for 30 years... I've had crappy , high action instruments...then I finally got a good job...and saved the cash ...purchased my dreams: Martin D 028...and Road Series. It's probably good for a beginner. I am curious what's in the DVD lessons. But, nah....don't think I'll buy it to find out either.

I received this model that was vintage sunburst. Its a really nice looking and playing guitar. The stock pickups and tuners are terrible in it though. Does anyone have any idea if the tuners can be replaced with Grover tuners with a lot of complications?

I wouldn't buy a Keith Urban guitar if it was the only 🎸 guitar to buy!

Is there a grounding problem? Are those single coils disguised as humbuckers? Just that there seems to be an awful lot of hum for humbuckers. I was surprised to see a set neck on it. I’ve owned a Gibson and Gibson copies. The copies played way better. Two different Deans and a Parkwood. Brand means little to me.

Urban says on HSN guitar is "handmade", how can a handmade guitar, case, dvd &:amp be $199 in this day and you say its a good guitar. What am I missing here? Sounds like a scam. I know guitars have a ridiculous mark up but come on man.
