Whitney was a soprano she just sang in a chest dominant mix. Imagine if she had a balanced mix like Mariah she would’ve been able to belt past G#5 consistently. Sadly she never pushed the boundaries of her voice or reached her full potential like KeKe.

For a second I was hella annoyed with the background folks then I remembered its at a restaurant/bar and she is showing us what she can do live unrehearsed when people did not show up for her. Made me love her voice that much more
For the real singers and those with an ear as GREAT as a singer Keke is. Whitney's Voice was just unmatched to date the Vocal control She had on this song and to hear Keke not the best I've heard her really says a lot about Whitney's Voice. Rip Queen. Not comparing just factual statements

Keke is a Beast. I mean seriously she's an animal but Hell No she not better than Whitney. Don't get me wrong you dont have to sound like Whitney to sound good but Keke voice clearly ain't suited for this kinda song. And she even struggled with love on top by Beyonce. Keke is a good technical singer but songs that require a lot of modulating with a limited use of riffs and runs seems to be her weakness. But its not a bad thing. It let us know that she's human cause for a while I was convinced there was nothing Keke couldn't do vocally. I agree shes easily 1 of the best but not the very best. Every singer has a lane and a weakness. For example: As much as I think J.Hud is overrated and that she screams a lot I gotta say I think she would've done this song way better than what Keke just did..... But at the same time J.Hud can't touch that Patti Labelle song like Keke can so its not just oh this singer is just better than that singer. All of them have songs they are stronger or weaker in... Btw I also think Shelea Fraiser would've tore this song up.
I honestly think it was her first time doing Kareoke and it was totally unrehearsed probably got caught up trying to read the words rather than remembering here's the big part lol
