i only JUST learnt that this song rachel in glee sang was written by kelly clarkson and it makes it love it even more i don't think i've ever hated a single song kelly's ever written.
The Glee version doesn't even COMPARE the the actual emotions Kelly was feeling during this. I love Glee as much as the next girl, but nobody will ever beat Kelly.
I LOVE both Kelly's original and Lea's Cover on Glee. Two strong and powerful singers in their own way. Very powerful and moving song that brings u to tears no matter who sings it.
this is one of the songs that made me fall in love with kelly clarkson! she is amazing in every way shape and form. i aint got a bad thing to say about this girl!! she is awesome. love u miss Kelly Clarkson
I love Lea Michele. I love Kelly. There is no comparing them. They are two different people with two different vocal ranges and voices frankly. I like both versions of this song. But I will always say, there is nothing compared to the original.
Hi, Cari. :-) Yes, Kelly does sing with much feeling & emotion in her live performances. That's partially why I've attended 8 Kelly Clarkson concerts in my lifetime. The last concert was in 2008. I've been on a Kelly concert drought. That's a long time for me to not be able to attend 1 of her concerts. I feel that Kelly is 1 of the best live performers out there, & she's the only 1 for whom I attended more than 1 concert for. Yes, her live performances of "Cry" are amazing! Good night! :-)
I just feel very sad - like a devastasted feeling now. Kelly Clarkson & her performances are the music soundtrack to my life, since 2002. I cried while watching this video. I stil have tears in my eyes as I'm typing now. I don't understand why some people act the way they do, behave the way they do, & why the don't feel deeply within their heart. (cont.)
I pull everything together & do things to boost others' spirits up, but when it comes to me, for myself, I feel let down & don't know what to believe & who to trust sometimes. I feel like the emotions Kelly has been emoting in her performances of Annie Lennox's "Why?" & this video, "Cry". I honestly don't understand why some people can't feel within their heart. @justfortheymusic9319 I totally agree! Don't Let Me Stop You and Cry are two great songs by Kelly. I always seem to like the ones that record companies won't release as singles.
Didn't really listen to this till recently, and i'm so glad I did....beautiful song period, this song was actually about being betrayed by a good friend of hers but she changed it up and made into a relationship in a song....lol overshare yes!
I love how much emotion she puts into live performances. Until I found live performances of this song, I used to just skip by it when it came up on my iPod. Takes on a completely different feel/meaning, imo.
Doesn't matter who performs it, this is an awesome song ... Both Lea and Kelly performs it with powerhouse vocals, and it makes me sad every time I hear it from either artists
Maybe my heart feels everything & thus I have the makeup of more than 1 heart - like 2 hearts since I'm a Gemini - the twins sign. Maybe my heart makes up for those who don't feel barely anything in their own heart. But yes, this video got to me. I feel everything like Kelly Clarkson does in this video. Sorry for the long post. Actually you will find I LOVE Kelly Clarkson and have all of her albums so until you have a clue what you are talking about why don't you just keep your mouth from spewing hate and get over it. People CAN love more than one artist you know.
She's singing this in a lower key than the orignal album version. I like when she goes for those really high notes. But no matter what, Kelly always sound great! *KC4EVR*
@hannahmaycookie13 me too, ive been listening to her since i was 11 and this song is the one that convinced me that she is the best. its just so real, you really get the feeling of sadness she singing about.
I just came home from work about an half & 1/2 ago. A very long day. Lots of new things to learn. I just feel overwhelmed in many departments. why are people almost killing each other? i mean, i get that kelly's version is the best. but why do you hate these shows? i mean they are, in a way, introducing great music to people. i'm not only talking about glee, i mean all the shows that let us discover new songs. i've been a kelly fan for a long time, but i'm not going to hate someone who's introducing her music to new people.
