also loved the effort she put into knowing the proper pronunciation of their names, not introducing them as just TWICE but actually introducing them individually, and she apologizes if she wasn't pronouncing them right. That, to me, is the highest form of respect and I'm so grateful to Kelly for being so welcoming to our girls. My respect for her as a host, singer, and even just as a human being has increased tenfold due to this interview.

I think out of any American show, they feel the most comfortable on Kelly Clarkson's show. Most American shows don't treat them with respect and not understanding that they are not fluent in English or familiar with western culture. I think she did her research before having Twice on her show.

She was definitely making sure none of the members who are less engaged and less confident in interviewed usually were involved they seemed to all have a good time!

That’s not really how it’s pronounced though.. they pronounce it like this is Korea because they can’t say “zuu-yuu” which is actually how it’s pronounced

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure it's not quite pronounced "zuu-yuu" either (i.e. doesn't rhyme with "you), and would probably be best pronounced as "tze-yee" (with the "e" in "tze" sounding more like a cross with the "a" in "about") or "tze-yuee" (with only a very mild and quick "u" sound in the "yuee" part).

@@Why_Do_I_Need_A_Handle_Name Tzuyu and I speak two different Chinese languages, mine being Taiwanese Hokkien and hers being Taiwanese Mandarin, but, assuming her name is pronounced the same in both, it would be more of a "zuu-yuu". It's hard to describe, but the 'z' sounds like a combination of a T and a Z, so it is very light and is enunciated almost like trying to make a bird chirp from behind the front teeth, if that makes any sense. The 'y' is also extremely light. Without listening closely, it can almost sound more like "zuu-uu" with no 'y' at all and it is enunciated almost toward the throat instead of at the top of the mouth. I hope this makes remotely any sense!

I think it’s one thing to do it to a celebrity from the US that is used to and usually expects that kind of question as opposed to someone who isn’t from here and has no idea how inappropriate that kind of behavior is.
