Kelly meets Avante and his dad Antonio, the first father-son duo to ever march together in the renowned Florida A&M University Marching 100 marching band. Second-year drum major Avante shares how Homecoming happened to fall close to his birthday this year, and his dad's 30th anniversary as drum major at the school, so they decided to make history by performing on the field together. Pilot Pen gives Avante $1,000 to help in his civil engineering pursuit!

Representing FAMU and I love that Kelly Clarkson who haven't forgotten the College campus is the part of Tallahassee, Florida, my domain city which I was born in 1984.

I loved the performance Avante and Antonio. October 29th is also my birthday and my best friend got us tickets to see my son in the Incomparable FAMU Marching 100 he is a Junior on Bass. Congratulations to you both❤

HELLO, KELLY ANTONIO AND AVANTE RIVERS ARE MY COUSINS. ANTONIO IS MY MOM'S SISTER'S SON. HE AND I ARE 1ST COUSINS ON BOTH SIDES OF OUR FAMILY. HIS MOM IS MOM'S SISTER AND HIS DAD IS MY DAD'S BROTHER. THANK YOU FOR RECOGNIZING THEM, BECAUSE WE LOST ANTONIO'S MOM IN 2021. WE MISS HER VERY MUCH, AND I KNOW YOU JUST MADE THINGS ALOT BETTER FOR THEM. BECAUSE IT'S LIKE GOD SAYING THROUGH YOU LOOK AT MY SONS. ANTONIO'S MOTHER WOULD SAY THAT WHEN SHE SEE HIM PERFORM. This is awesome. Lord knows my Engineering students need all the money they can get. This father and son duo was amazing to see at Homecoming. I am very proud of my former student.
