fanmade obviously from kelly clarkson's 2012 Stronger Tour performance and miley cyrus's 2021 performance of the mazzy star song it's finals week and I'm doing this instead of my missing assignments.... enjoy
The fact that these performances were actually completely separate is what makes this video so fuckin cool. I had no idea until it was over. I woulda sworn they were on the same stage at the exact same time. I love this song and these 2 just made it even better!☮️💖🤑🌟
I knew something was off because they are not in key with each other the part where they're singing together sounds horrible maybe because they really can't hear each other
Mazzy Stars version is haunting and beautiful and anguished. This is a great rendition, powerful heartfelt. But Mazzy beats up your soul, plates it and spoon feeds it back to you.
Hey darlin’, seeing as you know, the true Mazzy star, we’ve been having a debate for the longest time, my friends, and I please help us solve it. Mazzy star spent a lot of time in Toronto and when I was with her in her room, she definitely always called at home that sweet canopy bed she’s such an angel. I miss her so. So is Miss Massey truly from Toronto? Do you actually know her. She’s an angel you’re right.
People seem to forget just how killer Kelly is. She can do it all. I been a fan since first American Idol. She’s only gotten better and better. Her higher range part here is breathtaking. Great mixing here
Kelly's high belt and Miley low tones? Blend together? Woooow it will be sooo efforthless pleaaaaase guys sent this video to Miley and Kelly - it should be soon perfect performance
100% spot on about Miley. I’m not a huge fan if hers but this song was perfect for her voice. Kelly is one of the best voices out there today. Would love to hear her sing the whole song alone.
@@antoinetebulger99 Kelly did sing the whole song alone lol that’s where these clips are spliced from ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jVxHMMgh1MU.htmlsi=GBOMUAjhisdgHDjS
Kelly's vocals are bang on & like a chameleon she compliments every genre of music out there and with whomever she's singing with... all her cover's are perfection.
This is the worst version of Fade into you, raising the tone of the voice in this dark song is not synonymous with a good interpretation. You have to know when to do it and when not to,
@@sebastian4683 I've listened to the original countless times. It's hard for a cover to compete with a original. But as far as covers go doing it exactly the same as the original is kind of pointless. And doesnt necessarily mean it's going to be good. The point of a cover is to have another interpretation of the song. By your logic miley's performance is better, but I personally find it awful. In the end a music is only as good as someone who enjoys it. I hardly think it's the worse version of fade into you. Give me a list of 10 covers of the song you think are miles better. "Worst version" really is an exaggeration if anything it is the best cover I've heard of the song, precisely because the others have that similar interpretation but if they are just similar it's not going to ever be better than mazzy's.
This was dope, awesome job slicing it together. Anyone else wish there'd be an all female tour again, like with Kelly Clarkson, miley, pink, heart e.t.c? I'd pay good money to experience that.
This song is about heroin. There isn't enough sadness in either of their voices to be singing about heroin. No no, they did not do a good job. That's why the original is so haunting
@@LeviTheMagi OH.... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound bitchy. I actually LOVE Miley! Have you heard her live version of Blondie heart of Glass???? BLEW ME AWAY! I truly think she can sing ANY genre of music and sound great. I don't think she can sing any SONG in any genre, but she did Heart of glass without going Falsetto one time! She's AMAZING! So I promise I speak objectively with my opinion, not as someone who doesn't like her. It is just my opinion that the original version had a haunting vibe that went with the subject of the song, and her look was almost a lost girl vibe too. I just don't think this particular song was either Miley's or Kelly's best work. And belive it or not I've followed her life. And I've probably done worse and been through worse, so it's not a judgement call, just some strangers opinion💫
@@rameychisum2891 Miley is very "out there" which shocks some and turns their hearing off. The lady has a very powerful and versatile voice. If she were more reserved(not herself) ; she'd be an even larger star!
This is the worst version of Fade into you, raising the tone of the voice in this dark song is not synonymous with a good interpretation. You have to know when to do it and when not to,
There ain't a song that Kelly can't kill 💯💯💯 But I must admit Miley rocked the hell out of it 😍 So beautiful it makes me cry, I can just honestly put it on repeat and fade completely into it. Such a bittersweet song 💝💘💔
In all honesty I definitely don’t think either one of them is trying to outshine Mazzy Star.. they are effortlessly bringing a CLASSIC song CURRENT and introducing it to many many people who would not be aware of it OTHERWISE . Like myself .🤓..somehow I missed this GEM. Thank You Miley and Kelly for SHARING your GIFT with US ALL so FREELY !!❤️😍🥰😘❤️😎😗😁❤️
I've loved Mazzy Star for decades, but these two women--especially spliced together like this--do the song justice. No, it doesn't have Hope Sandoval's haunting ambiance, but Kelly and Miley are artists; they give it their own spin. Thank you for sharing this.
I'm a huge Mazzy Star fan and an admitted music snob but these two do them justice and I tear up a little every time I listen to Miley's version on NPR.
Today is first time I've seen this video. Omg. Im62 andmiley you have made my 70-80's rock nroll take a whole new meaning. Thanks. Kelly to watch and hear you sing on this video is so incredible. I cannot watch u host a talk show again. I will forever see you as singing this song. Beth Heart I'm sorry but u gotta move over now girl.. Never thought i would say that. Ladies i hope you understand how much your fans will love u 2 ladies Forever
I know I said oh my God at the end I'm wet! Like crying wet orgasm wet like the whole ensemble Can you imagine if they actually really did do it together How badass that would be?!?! The fact that they both did it and they both Slaid it!!! There's literally nothing these two women can't do our accomplish and they have shown the world time and time again that women who own their power can have what they want 💜
MILEY!!! There is a sadness in Mazzy Star's voice. Kelly is always incredible, but her voice speaks hope to me. There's this hopelessness in Mazzy's music, but it's this accepted hopelessness. Like when you're sitting in a dark place, but you know it's temporary...you're just taking in the feels. That's Mazzy to me. Miley captures that beautifully...it's not something you can teach or pretend-- you either can or can't.
You should check out Kelly Clarksons song Irvine. Kelly’s vocals on that reflect exactly what you’re talking about with Mazzy and Miley on this song, I bet you’d be surprised and love it
miley has low vocal range that she fully controls that’s quite convenient to emote the vulnerability of this type songs like fade into you with her newly found 70’s vibe sound it’s the gift that keeps on giving
Mazzy Star was the name of the group....Hope Sandoval is the female artist who fronted that group. Miley's cover mirrors the melancholy of Hope's original version beautifully!
Kelly adds so much to every song she always sounds amazing and I love the texture in Miley's voice. They sound so good together. Your editing was perfect!
Listen to the original. These girls sound great, but Hope Sandoval, the original singer is a gorgeous, shy Mexican- American with a hypnotic, erotic voice you'll never forget.
I wanna hold the hand inside you I wanna take the breath that's true I look to you and I see nothing I look to you to see the truth You live your life, you go in shadows You'll come apart and you'll go black Some kind of night into your darkness Colors your eyes with what's not there Fade into you Strange you never knew Fade into you I think it's strange you never knew A stranger's light comes on slowly A stranger's heart is out of home You put your hands into your head And then its smiles cover your heart Fade into you Strange you never knew Fade into you I think it's strange you never knew Fade into you Strange you never knew Fade into you I think it's strange you never knew I think it's strange you never knew
I remember when thus came out, such a searching restless figuring it all out time in my life I was like 19 or 20, takes me right back to riding around and hearing it on the radio
Yep timeless- I guess we can call it a classic already. I must've been 8 or 9 when this song hit. my sister was about 16 at the time and I remember she played it over and overr lol 😁 we both still love it.
MAZZY STAR IS ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER! I have LOVED this song for decades...and sadly, it hits home more than ever 😔 Nervous to listen to this rendition but I mean idk whhhy! I couldn’t imagine any other voices attempting it You ROCK, Mazzy Star and your legacy will live on forever in our hearts Thanks for giving them props Miley, Kelly Keep shining brightly ! 🕊 ❤️ Shout out of course to Hope Sandoval 👑 💫
A few days ago I discovered for me this song( by Mazzy Star)...And I can't stop hearing this song..! That's a MAGIC !!! Giving especially kind of the mood..!
I can never get tired of Kelly’s voice. Since Day one when i first heard it on American idol. Amazing. Miley is just a class act of her own. Her voice with the raspiness is smooth yet tough that you feel it inside your body
Wow!! I thought a duet live…. Until I started reading the comments. Very well done!!! You had me fooled.😀😍😍😍 Hope one day these beautiful women will render a REAL performance together. Thank you! One of the best videos I have seen. 👊🏼
For Sandoval, this must be an honor. A number of pop stars have been discovering yesterday's alternative from it's golden age. As well they should, anything to inspire melodic and lyrical quality I must insist. Soulful renditions both, it is clear they feel the movement that we do (fans). I hope The Glut never happens again. I can't imagine it could ever again be so bad, there IS some consolation in this.
