The most devastating aspect of watching this now, IMO, is that the man she wrote about healing her (her husband at the time) ended up cheating on her and then suing her for a whole bunch of money. So when she sings lines like, "He'll never walk away, he never asks for money", it just breaks my heart. 💔 There are also clips of her performing this in concert (also when she was pregnant so it was extra-emotional) and then Brandon surprises her by coming out onstage to play guitar. Don't watch those if you don't wanna cry!

Kelly Clarkson is the BEST singer ever IMO! She can put her heart and soul into any song that she sings. It doesn't matter if it's her song or not, Kelly will draw you into every song that she sings. Thank you for your reaction to this song!! Kelly is an excellent singer-songwriter. You should hear all of her Kellyokes as they're called on her show of her singing covers of other people's songs. Yes, she wrote this song and it's about her father and her mom divorcing at the age of 6. Her father just passed away a couple years ago and they never did have a father-daughter relationship that she always wanted because he was never there for her. That relates to so many thousands of people, including me. Please react to her singing I Dare You. She sings it in English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Aramaic, and German. They also have this song in ASL for the deaf people. Kelly learned the song in all of these languages within a couple days of each other because she didn't have the time during the pandemic to take time to do these. She sings with different people in different languages and every one of the languages are the same song.
One problem with the new setup is I can hear you fine but I could barely hear the performance. As for what next with Kelly. If you want to cry again try the music video for Because of you. Also about her father leaving her when she was 6. She wrote the song when she was 16. For just great performances try I will always love you from the ACM awards. Also She used to be mine and Unchained melody from her talk show.

I second these covers, especially "Natural Woman" on the first Idol season in 2002 (It shows why she won) and "Up to the Mountain" featuring Jeff Beck on guitar (even he stated he was mesmerized with Kelly's vocals and emotion during the performance).
I agree with your list of covers. But my favorite will always be up to the mountain from 2007 “idol gives back”. My mom and I watched that first season together when I was 11 years old we would vote every week on our landline, phone phone as many times as we could for her. My mom became sick and passed away about a year after this performance. A few months before she passed away she bought me and my cousin tickets to see Kelly in Reba McEntire For my Christmas present. She was too sick to go so that’s why she sent my cousin with me, the next day I remember playing this song from the concert the night before, and I must’ve really related to up to the mountain because I believe she knew that she was not going to make it. She called her eyes out and forwards later we played up to the mountain at her funeral. This is always P. the most emotional of recovers for me personally.

Please lower the volume on YOUR mike...your 10-20x louder then the recording you are playing so it blows out the viewer - turn it up to hear the performance and literally get blasted by your mike - really harms your video reaction effectiveness.
Here's a little tip...do with it what you will. It's actually better to pause and make your comments than talking over the performance. You as well as the listener misses out on important details of the song and performance, plus, it's extremely annoying to watch. Also, every time you talk it causes the volume to lower on this end so we're missing out on even more.
