So exciting to see this. Most scenes you can see they are exactly where the filming was shot. Others, they have changed enough so that I can kind of see it. Love this movie, music, actors, and now the scenes even more!

I remember going to North Wales to my Naini's cottage in the late 60's. I was a child, growing up in California, where my mother had emigrated to. I will never forget that the garden fences and gates had been cut down; taken for the war effort. It was so real! I was strangely disappointed when I returned in the 80's, and the fences had been replaced! Of course they had been! But, in my mind's eye, I wanted to see the history...

One off my favorite WW II movies. Made in my home country. Ex Yugoslavia. Love how long time ago film makers were smart ,low budget and any beautiful place in the world 🌎 that you can always enjoy by watching. Today they have studios and everything is fake .Don't forget Millions of dollars paid for. Sorry 😞 I love ,,oldies but Goodies ". Nothing is fake.🤣.Don't forget you have a Comedy to.🤪

Worthy of the British magazine After the Battle, they are now doing before and afters with famous military films now. But the blending with the actual film split screen helps.

That’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen any one do...awesome job !! Truly incredible u found the locations . What a shame with carol O’Connor’s headquarters being in ruins today ...do you know the story on that building ?

What's funny is even as the Balkans suffered a series of battles in the break up of Yugoslavia it looks basically the same!

I was there last year, a map of these location shots would be helpful. I did not find some of these spots.

Why did they paint Claremont white? It looked so much cleaner with natural stone.

It was shot in Yugoslavia for about 6 months

So the turret traverse sound is used in a bunch of films. Most notably Aliens. But does it predate Kelly's Heros? And if not does anyone know if it's from the tank or foley in post-production?

A war movie made in a place were a mere 25 year before a war was fought and then only one score of years later another war was fought. I maybe superstitious but DON'T film another war movie there! Seems to be some kind of time trap or maybe it is just our luck, our lot... Sorry for the negative waves and thanks for the look at how the places from movie have and haven't changed.

Wonder what happened to the main building at 3:16 Seem like it's gone, but nothing has come up in it spot

perhaps the scene of the bridge building engineers where the music band played...is missing.
