He was underscored for this carve which only he did in the whole contest. Everyone did floaters and lip slashes and tube rides but nobody else even tried this 360 tells you all you need to know. They are all capable of it. They will do an air before they try this. Poor judgement on the part of the judges in this case.
@@ItsWesSmithYo that's the reason why I don't enjoy surf competitions, so predictable, boring and most times not creative, it's like seeing padel tennis instead of real tennis... Clay Marzo, Ozzie Wright, etc, those are the real guys doing funny things
This is pro surfing. Drop in, cut in the pocket, off the lip to a nose pick 360. It's so boring at this point, its unwatchable. This maneuver from Slater was 10x more interesting.
