She was fangirling the whole time and I loved it. You could tell how excited she was to perform with Kenny. This was one of my favorite performances of the night.
@@thankuslay6766 Are you talking about Kenny? He spends most of his time in the islands. LOL His tour was postponed for two years due to COVID so he's been in St. John chilling in the sun. I don't blame him!
@@faithbrewer1703 I was going to say, "Because it's sunny." 🤣 I lived in the south for 10 years. Tanning is just a "side effect," unless you wear sun screen. (Which I highly recommend.) Where I lived, the coldest is got was around 60 degrees, so I definitely spent way more time outside then I do now that I live in a northern state. Kenny is EXTRA tan, but he's spent the pandemic in the Virgin Islands, so what do you expect? LOL
No matter how much I listen to this song the memories and nostalgia comes flying back I feel like this will be one of those classics not matter what year it is people can relate
This song bring me back to Cedaredge Colorado, CHS Class of 1981. Nostalgia is a delicate thing. Nostalgia, the ache in one's heart for a place and time that no longer exist. For me, 1982 Delta Colorado. Friday night, off work from Terrell's restaurant. Cruising Main street, house parties later. I was 19, young, free and didn't even know it. Memories from a time long past and forgotten like tears in the rain.
@@kelseaballerini4542 Ms. Ballerini, I have heard your song since Love You Like You Mean It. I used to live in Texas and now moved to Bangkok, Thailand, and carried all country music with me here. Thank you for replying.
I love this song song much. I love especially when she says, 'Back roads raise, highways they take us, memories make us wanna go back to our hometown, settle down raise some kids in red and black, go bobcats while the other half of our hometown was in the crowd, they knew the words they sang them loud. And all I wanna do is make them proud coz half of me will always be Knoxville, Tennessee. My hometown
I love you, Kelsea!!! You are my actual hero in life! I know you probably won't see this but you helped me get through residential treatment and I survived not only depression but anxiety and suicidal thoughts from listening to your music daily, people judge me for being obsessed with you but they don't know the whole story. You are not only my hero but my role model and I really hope others like me find your music because it has been absolutely life-changing. I am alive today because of you and I am so thankful for you and your music!
Congrats for all the hard work you've been doing to get your life back on track! I know it's not an easy journey. But you're stronger than you know. And if people judge you for loving Kelsea's music to help you thru it- screw em! Its not their life and its DEF not their business! You do what works for you!! Don't give up, just keep going! Its always the one choice you'll never regret. YOU deserve the best out of this life! 🦋 Hugs & Blessings 🦋
One of the best songs that have come out in AWHILE!! Imagine if this was full of people, the crowd would have went NUTS!! Was performed very well! Thank You Kelsea and Kenny for reminding us to never lose touch with our roots!
Who could have thought those 2 are from the same hometown, Knoxville, Tennessee my hometown?? Kenny Chesney is one of my favorite, so I can only imagine! Surprises has it's own rewards. I love this song! It connects 2 people to a place they grew up and and reminesance of where we all came from, my hometown our hometown and this makes this song special that will be played for many years! ,👍❤️
I was so emotional watching this knowing how much this song means to Kelsea. I can’t imagine how she feels preforming this song with Kenny. I am so proud of her and everything she does but especially this. This is a mountain top moment for her I’m sure and I’m so excited to see what else this song has in store for her!
There is something about this song that I can relate to, though I am not from the US. I just love and adore you, Kelsea. I have loved you since you released Peter Pan. That's one of my favorite songs of yours. It was so relatable, really.
This song touches all of us in a special way, whether we left our hometown or are still living there. But I love the fact that she chose KENNY to duet this with her.... I love all of her music & I miss seeing Kenny like crszy!! This was beautiful. ❤
Yes! I hadn't heard the song before this video and I am still just awe struck by this song. The way the song effortlessly flows between the two as they perform, the chemistry they have together in the music/lyrics makes you feel like you're not just being sang to but that you're a part of the song. Perfection! 😘💋
That was such a fun song. They worked to together, they smiled together and they were two amazing singers who were on point. Love this song!!! Love these two performers!!!
I cried watching this live because it’s so beautiful!! I had to rewind just so I could watch it again and sing too lol. Love you Kelsea!!! Can’t wait to see you on your when it’s safe!!
Kelsea mentioned a while back that this song makes her super emotional and she may never perform it. So when it was announced she was performing it at the acms I was beyond excited! This is one of my favorite Kelsea songs and it means a lot to me. You sounded amazing Kels,Kenny sounded good too! Your outfit was super pretty as well💙🥺
This song is everything! It makes me emotional too.... my dad died around the time it came out. Never forgettin’ who I am. Just a great feel good song ❤️
This is the epitome of what a country music song should be! A song that tugs at the heartstrings, my wife and I lost 3 parents between 2017-2018, one of them being my mom 3 months before we got married in 2018. Hearing this song makes me smile, cry and remember the amazing life she gave me! Thank you both for such a beautiful song 🎵 ❤❤
I like when the country singers hug or shake 👐 and not afraid of it besides i think that what everyone is missing is to hug or just being together and having fun without the stupid guidelines. So country singers thanks for making little be normal.
When I first listened to this song and heard Red & Black and Go Bobcats, I was thinking that my old high school has those same colors and mascot. Then I heard Knoxville, TN and I nearly fell off of my chair . I went to Central High, the same school this song is about. I went to Fountain City Elementary, and Gresham Middle. Small world.
