zakiah tukes to stop that I tend to tie it really tight(not tight enough to hurt) then put a bonnet on top (just because the lines from the bonnet annoy tf out of me)
@@oihcam22 wow...that's unnecessarily discouraging. The awkward phase of your hair growing after the big chop seems to be a basic phase most naturals go through. Doesn't mean I'll never get there, but is not going the speed I'd prefer. But I'd rather healthy hair over length. So I get aggressive on my split end trimming. I'll be that much more depressed if I don't and I grows long with long split ends I have cut more length off later. Anyhow, good luck to all of us in these natural hair streets 🤗🤗🤗 it's hard road in a world that uplifts straight hair. But we got this Friends!! 😉😉
Tryintomake Adollaroutof15cents I’m not trying to be discouraging, it’s just so many people are unrealistic and seem to be ignorant of the role of genetics in hair length. Some people no matter what they do will never get to a certain hair length, genetics matters, y’all.
Loved this video!! It's nice to see a whole week routine together!! I wish my hair would act right for a whole 7 days!! When winter comes, you should do it again with your straight hair routine!!
They aren’t consistent and literally do the same videos over and over. Had they been looking at their algorithms a few years back when they were on everyone’s watchlist, they definitely would’ve had way more subscribers.
Because they're not willing to tell or show all their business like other RU-vidrs. That's the honest truth sis!!! Ppl want to be nosey. I can't wait until they start their cooking videos though.
@@TwilightRox249 they did a video talking about views they were getting, and alot of people commented about being consistent and content and to be honest I agreed their content was becoming repetitive...I have been watching before the moved out. That being said they took the advice they got I think. It show maturity on their part as well for listening
Omg 🥰 I love it , I went through a struggle when I decided to go natural. Very matted, different lengths..... nightmare. Almost gave up, then I finally found time to see a professional and got the TLC I needed. Deep conditioning, silk treatment, ends trimmed etc. My hair has flourished every since.... much easier managed. In love with my natural hair, my fiancé adores my hair too.... great feeling.
I have long hair, but thin weak edges now, because of all those tight hair buns I used to wear in high school and college. Oiling my scalp routinely has definitely been helpful. Using black castor oil like you and also Amla. Silk scarves and bonnets are a must have.
I thank you for showing basically the whole week of you styling your hair because it gives me ideas of how to prep my hair and how to maintain my wash'n go's
This motivates me to stay proactive. All that beautiful hair. There is truly enough time in the day. You & Kendra truly pour into yourselves & your fans daily. Thank you. 😘
Really enjoyed this full day and night weekly routine.I try to go heatless 6 months out of the year now but it’s so hard!!! This really helps me understand what to do with curly hair everyday.
Wowwwww I feel like my struggling curls needed this kinda video. My hair usually goes up in a bun after day 2/3 and then half my hair falls out when I’m uncombing it on wash day 😢😓 Thank you for the tips!!
I loved this video so much. So helpful. Please do more of these weekly hair videos on what your care. I find that during the week so where I really need to do better on caring for my hair. When school and work takes off I struggle versus my weekly and monthly routines. Kendra please do one too when you can 🤗
Omg she was so pretty before the make up. Can we just take a minute to acknowledge the fact the she looks like a QUEEN 👑 without make up. Literally could not stop looking at how extremely beautiful she is. OMG ! 🙈 just WOW 🙌🏾
Definitely going to try that cream cleanser! The ORS conditioner smells sooooo freaking good! You put me on the Kukui oil a few years ago and I love it 🙌🏾 love your low bun 😍😍😍
Your hair is just too gorgeous! I’m still trying to achieve your length, but I’ve had some set backs! I’m getting back to healthy hair business though! Thanks for the continued inspiration!
Your hair is so pretty and I'm not much of a cowash kinda girl but the uncle funky's daughter cowash is pretty good. Are y'all going to curlfest? They're having it in Atlanta for the first time next month
Kelsey, the bun was dope 🙌 and that was on day 6.....My washn’go only last a day after that way too many tangles....beautiful hair 🥰 Thanks for listing the products and providing the links🙌
Love the idea of this video! Gave me some insight on how to refresh my curls. I love the advice you gave to do your bun first then your makeup. I did my makeup first and wanted to do my hair in a puff. I sprayed my hair to put it in a puff and the water dripped down my forehead. Lol. I got lucky because my makeup didn’t get ruined.
Love this video!! They're extremely helpful to see how curly hair can change for the good (or bad lol 😂) through out the week or however long one keeps the style in. And yes, we wanna see Kendra do this video too 😂😍 Satin scrunchies are such a game changer !! I've noticed a lot less breakage since using them (I ordered like a pack of 15-25 for like $7 off Amazon, but I also find them in TJ Maxx and Marshalls in packs of 4 to 6)
Oh Kelsey this was so fun to watch. Your hair has grown so much. Come October it will be at below Butt length. Love the consistent and work ethics. Editing is a another whole level of awareness. Thanks for sharing sweetie. 😘😍🤗🙏🏾💟💚
KELSEY!! Yaas girl Yaaaas! Also, I love watching the videos to see what graphic T-shirts you're wearing. I went and bought the Boyz in the Hood one you had on in a video. It took me a year to find it LOL...
Watching this felt like I was watching my weekly routine, lol! They’re almost identical, even down to the sleek low bun when I’m not feeling my hair 😂 loved it, Kels! 😍😍
Hey Kelsey!! I must say, I loved this video! I decided to use a gel too, like you I'm a cream styler myself and the gel does define my curls and give my hair life! There's major take aways from this video that's really helping me. And the curl refresher, that's on point. I'm going to order that and see how my hair likes it. I just wanted to say thank you for this video, I really needed it. :)
Kelseyyyyyyyyyy I needed this tutorial like yesterday. Your video was the first video to pop up when I opened you tube. I need to try that aunt Jackie's gel. I use a refresher spray by the brand Curls. The lavish moisturizer/ 2nd day refresher spray and daily leave in.
Hmmmm, I’ll have to try that curl refresher. I recently mastered the perfect wash n go routine for my hair, so now I can actually venture out and try new things.
Kaylyn Boyd that’s more of their preference. Anyone can protective style regardless of natural hair journey or not. They seem to have a routine that works best for their hair which seems to be minimal styling vs. protective styles.
I've noticed that u don't comb through ur hair, I think that's my problem!!! I always feel like I have to comb my hair all the time and then I see tons of breakage! Thanks for the video I love it!!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍
Yeah, I noticed that when I was using a comb to detangle my hair, I was getting a lot of breakage. When I started finger detangling, I started to see less breakage and I was retaining more length.
@@Mx.Pickle hmmmm that's what I'm going through right now .... detangling my hair with a wide tooth comb but I have breakage each time .... so just finger detangle it ? I will give this a shot.....
Def have to pick up that Aunt Jackie's elongating gel, hopefully it doesn't leave my hair with too much white residue. & That pink scarf and that beat face was a whole look Kelsey! So freakin' pretty!!!
I know this video is about hair & it was sooo well done. Such a cool concept! BUT I’ve got to mention your skin!! Kelsey, your skin is absolutely beauuuutiful! I’d love to see a skin journey video from you & Kendra of how you’ve got to where you are now, which products to avoid, what specific facial services y’all got from Med Spa, how you maintain an even complexion/get rid of discoloration, etc! Please help a sista out, I wanna glow toooo 😩 Lol Love y’all!!
I’ve been using the texture ID deep conditioner recently and loving it so far! EDIT: I’ve also been using the aunt Jackie’s gel as well! This is my first time purchasing
Yasss!! 🙏🏾 skin is poppin, hair is goals, and brows on fleek. I got my brows done by mint brows earlier this year cuz yours always looked good. #noregrets You girls have never led me wrong, love you guys. More videos like this please; loved it!
Thank you for this awesome video - so the wet plopping over night - from what I can tell you definitely don’t have any hygra fatigue (over hydration) -issues. I’m trying the wet plopping right now lol - thanks for the tip
Thank you Kelsey for this upload! And I’ve been loving washing my hair and then applying my deep conditioner opposed to using rinse out conditioner and then deep condition. I’m going to try that as I am smoothing gel!
I saw the textured ID conditioner with Sally’s and wondered how it worked. Glad to hear you like it. I can buy it now 😂😂. Great video as always. Your hair is gorgeous.
Started watching this while I was closing out the drive-thru at work. No members came in so I could watch 5 mins without being bothered. #obsessed with both channels
Love y'all and Aunt Jackie's flaxseed. I use that weekly and I just spray water on mine to refresh and add some BJC Oil and I'm good to go for another couple of days
Thank yoooooou soooo much, I love the transparency n ur hair is gorgeous as always....when it gets colder/closer to the time to for you to straighten ur hair can you do something like this on how u maintain straight hair I would really appreciate it 👍🏾
