Why can't all debates be like this! This was so amazing to listen too. The black brothers asked really good questions. Brother Hijab gave wonderful insights on things I and I'm sure most people didn't know of. We need more civilised debates like this. One were they listen & learn instead of trying to prove something and settling the score.

I am an Arabic speaker and I am telling you that there are different meanings of Qiraat if there are not any differences it will not be a Qiraat anymore, but the most important thing is to know that this Qiraat is one of the Miracles in Quran because in the same sentence, Allah explains a lot of things but each meaning is not contradicting with the other meaning. Wallah, I feel sorry that no one gives Qiraat subject what it deserves. It's one of the reasons that no one can bring something like Quran because of this spectacular unique way of how its written, by using the same letters that gives additional meaning which will makes you understand the Ayah from another prospective. Sometimes Qiraat it will complete or include multiple things or situations and again by using the same letters. I hope In sha Allah that I made it clear to you so you can feel proud of the Quran more.

There seems to be a misconception that because the vowels were not written, they were not there. That isn't how language works. And what was said about Yiddish and Hebrew was completely backwards and false. This "aramaic old testament" as well. I hate to disrespect the guy, but the man that claims to have studied linguistics doesn't seem to have training in the discipline at all. He is just saying countless false things about language. Mohammed seems to have a better understanding of language. Oh my goodness this conversation about "richness" and meanings being "too many words" made my head explode. They just don't understand language. Words do not have inherent meaning. Words represent concepts, and those concepts are applied by the speakers and listeners. It can take one word to explain this concept, or it could take pages. And don't get me started on this weird arabic language elitism. You can't empirically claim a language as more concise or rich.
@gigatt4311
@gigatt4311 5 лет назад
Islam and lies. The Quranic Arabic meaning has been change so many times over time. Till the extend that pray will mean blessing, Beat will mean beat lightly, Light will mean both light and reflected light, Also the scholars are trying to give meaning to correct the flaws in the Quran and not the true Arabic meaning, once the corrections of the meaning are accepted then the corrections will be forced on the Arabic language Because of these inbuilt deception in Islam, they will never be a clearly accepted translation of the Quran, so that once any fault that is found in future, the meaning of a word can be tweaked to accommodate a new narrative That is y there is no acceptable translation made by all the best Islamic scholars, not even one among 100 translations of the Quran is accepted.

@@87jamaine Yes I can. That is not how it works. These languages are related. That doesn't mean they come from one another. They are members of a family called West Semitic. Within the West branch is a North and South division. The Southern branch contains Arabic. The Northern branch contains Aramaic and Caananite. The Caananite becomes its own branch including Hebrew. Again, they do not come from one another. They have common ancestors, so they are related. No trained linguist, like myself, would ever claim they begot one another. And the claim about Yiddish is extremely absurd and makes no sense.

Abul Qasim At-Tabarani رحمه الله narrated on the authority of Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنه; that Heraclius wrote to Mu'awiyah رضي الله عنه and said, "If there remains among them anything of Prophethood, then they will answer me about whatever I ask them:' So he wrote to him, asking him about the galaxy and about rainbows and about a place on which the sun has not shone except for one hour. When the messenger reached Mu'awiyah with the letter, he said, "This is a thing about which I did not think that I would be asked before today." He asked, " Who can answer this?" It was said, ''Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas." So Mu'awiyah folded up Heraclius's message and sent it to 'Abdull ah Ibn 'Abbas, and he (Abdullah Ibn Abbas) wrote (back) to him, "The rainbow is a protection for the people of the Earth from flooding and the galaxy is the door to the heaven, from which the Earth is separated. As for the place on which the sun has not shone except for an hour of the daytime, it is that which lies beneath the sea that was parted for the Children of Isra'el." This has an authentic chain of narrators up to 'Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas صلى الله عليه وسلم. (Ibn Kathir رحمه الله, Al-Bidayyah Wan Nihayyah) @abuhudaifah3

The conversation was very civil but those two black brothers are making a LOT of preconceived judgements about a language they know literally nothing about. To define “richness” of a language in such a black and white manner of having 1 word = 1 meaning is extremely naive. Have they not traveled and heard of any other languages but English? All they seem to be doing is writing off the use of a language because they themselves have limitations in understanding it, not because the language is too complex to grasp.

Good healthy debate the black guy was asking the right questions but it still amazes me how we can only discuss Islam in depth in the west. All ideas need critique yet most Islamic countries call that blasphemy and will never be able to bring Islam into the 21st century without the west!! It needs reformation asap. It restricts critical thinking which will leave many Muslims behind whilst the rest of the world moves forward.

I think the point of contention/confusion from the questioner may have been due to him starting from the assumption that the Quran was only revealed one time by Jibril (as), and this version was then repeated, dicated& memorised by the Muslims. The Hadiths mention that Jibril (as) would visit the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasallam), once a year, every night during Ramadan to repeat the revelations again, and was visited twice in the last year of his death. This would then account for& explain the different versions of the ayah being recited as Maalik/Malik.

I thought Yiddish the language of the kazari empire that embraced Judaism (not blood related to Israelites etc.) Due to the sigma of having the Islamic empire on one side and the Christian empire on the other. When the Kazaris embraced Judaism they had their language (Yidish) characterised with the Hebrew alphabet so you think their speaking Hebrew when their speaking Yidish. This is very apparent in israel today ad a lot of the descendants of the Kazaris that live in Israel still speak Yidish as their mother language and write it in the Hebrew alphabets
@wolfganghumboldt4830
@wolfganghumboldt4830 5 лет назад
No. Yiddish is a Germanic language that was spoken initially by Jews in Europe. The Jews of Roman Judea spoke Aramaic, and knew Hebrew as a holy language (they could probably read it and not speak it), and these Jews were eventually forced into Europe. Most of them ended up in the Rhine (today this is Western Germany). When they began speaking German, it became mixed with the languages the Jews brought with them (Aramaic and Hebrew). This mix made it distinct from German, but still the majority of the language is German. So much so that even German speakers today can understand quite a bit of Yiddish without studying the language at all. Today, most Yiddish speakers are in Brooklyn New York as a result of 19th century immigration. So basically, Yiddish is just a type of German with a touch of Aramaic and Hebrew.

You can’t deny Mohammed’s ability to spin and misdirect things. He’s a very good manipulator. He’s a bait face liar tho sometimes. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw that giant snake.

Islam is not from God Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64 Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death Islam cannot be from God because Muhammad frequently changed his revelations to suit circumstances. The classic example is Muhammad's teaching on drinking. When he was just beginning to teach, before Muhammad gained a significant following he said that it was alright to drink.Qur'an 2:219 They ask you Concerning wine; gambling, Say "In them is great sin, And some profit for men; But the sin is greater Than the profit. As his power base grew, he presented a stronger position. It was not acceptable to have had any intoxicants close enough to prayers to fog the mind. Qur'an 4:43 O you who believe! Approach not prayer With a mind befogged, Until you can understand All that you say. When his position was strongly established, he forbade the use of intoxicants entirely. Qur'an 5:93 O you who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (Dedication) of stones, And (divination by) arrows, Are an abomination, - Of Satan' handiwork: Eschew such (abomination) That you may prosper. 94. Satan's plan is (but) To excite enmity and hatred Between you, with intoxicants And gambling, and hinder you From the remembrance Of Allah, and from prayer: Will you not then abstain? His final revelation calls the use of intoxicants "Satan's handiwork." This puts him in the awkward position of having had Allah approve of "Satan's Handiwork' when he said that there was "some profit for men" in the use of intoxicants.

Islam does not condone sexual relations with an immature person (both mentally and physically). Rather, Islam promotes an objective standard of morality where the following prohibition is etched in stone: "It is wrong to have sexual relations with an immature person" However, unbeknownst to many, what constitutes as 'mature' lies on a spectrum throughout human history; subject to change due to biological and psycho-social adaptations. What constitutes maturity in the contemporary period would have been objectively 'old' in the past, because people didn't live as long on average as we do today. For example, with regard to the Roman working class, most people didn't live past 30 (www.thelocal.it/…/groundbreaking-study-reveals-brut…) In other words, going by today's laws where 18 is the standard age for marriage, these people would have only had 12 years left to start a family and raise their children to adulthood before they themselves died. Thus, the average maximum age for their first offspring would have been 11-12 at the time of their parent's deaths; leaving them to take care of their younger offspring and become the breadwinners of the household. They wouldn't have much time to stay as children and literally had no other choice but to begin their adulthood phase as early as possible -- not only for their own survival, but the survival of their societies. The equivalent to this circumstance today would be like people getting married and bearing children at 50-60 years of age; only then to die a decade or so later. In summary, the very "progressive moral principles" that people claim to follow today would have been a major detriment to their ancestors; delaying their lives to the point where getting married and having children would have become unsustainable. Ironically, had our ancestors followed today's standards of maturity, the people complaining about it would probably not exists. However, what's more ironic about the outrage towards the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) and his marriage to Aisha (ra) is how faux and inconsistent it really is. You see, the vast majority of Muslims today would not only never marry their daughters off at such a young age, be we wouldn't even allow our minor children to have premarital sexual relations. In other words, we don't consider them mature enough to have these sort of relationships and we find it grossly immoral. However, in so-called civilized societies, sex between minors is considered perfectly acceptable to the point of normalcy. From popular culture to films, minors entering puberty and having sex is considered a societal standard. The only issue is when said minor has relations with someone arbitrarily considered an 'adult'. But you can't have your cake and eat it too -- either your children are mature and responsible enough to have sex (the most intimate interaction in the human species) or they aren't. You can't condemn the behaviors of your ancestors with your "progressive morals" when you yourself promote something that not even they would have found acceptable So are women that attend comic cons and get dressed up as fictional characters or play video games not ready to get married? Imagine being in a desert with no electronics, how would you entertain yourself? These people are really clutching at straws honestly. Narrated Aisha (ra): "I had seen my parents following Islam since I attained the age of reason [i.e., puberty]. Not a day passed, but the Prophet ﷺ visited us, both in the mornings and evenings." Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 8, #465. And by the way psychological development is a lifetime journey, a 90 year old person would tell you that they are a different person to when they were 40 or 50. What people fail to understand is that ultimately, the only direct information that someone's chronological age can give us is how long a person has been alive. This is not Islam's criteria for marriage and in fact it's a faulty one that fails to take into consideration important factors. Rather Islam's criteria for marriage is someone's ability to function as an adult within society both physically and mentally (i.e. is that person mature enough both physically and mentally to get married?). Whoever meets this criteria can get married. Now just because someone's ability to function as an adult within society coincides with different chronological ages in different societies and in different time periods is irrelevant. Here's a good article which explains this: yaqeeninstitute.org/en/asadullah/understanding-aishas-age-an-interdisciplinary-approach/ Here's another good three-part article: thedebateinitiative.com/2013/05/25/religion-vs-paedophilia-part-1/

Money Mitch The perfect example of islam was a pedophile Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64 Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death 6 years old today or 100 years ago is still a 6 year old little child. The final prophet of islam was a pedophile because he was a grown man having sex with a child
