Customer gets what he wanted despite his root problems in the stormwater drains . Maybe he wants to renew the area completely next year. That may be the reason I didn't have to go to the bottom of it. It only has to drain for a while.
Mangelnde Pflege = höhere Kosten Ein undankbarer Job.
Just a suggestion, get a digging shovel and cut the end off and use it as a blade along the wall of the chamber to cut the roots growing in the bottom. Also get a pressure washer gun wand so you're not spraying 5' away. Use a zero degree tip and it'll slice through the roots at the source. Sometimes to get roots like this out, we have to think more like a gardner and less like a plumber.
Hi my colleague, as I assume I'm with you. I'm doing only drain cleaning jobs, but that was the first gully I've seen like this in 30 years.. Shameful. If I were unlucky enough to have more of them, I would probably in fact do as you suggested..
@@kempingerrohrreinigungberlin I know you guys are all about water........but this job you guys should have started an intense fire using PINE logs......burn everything to ash & then just wash away !!! FLAME !!!!
Sewer crews used to carry post hole diggers or long handled coal shovels, here in the states. Now they just trim the weeds that grow from our storm sewers.
That "basket" looked more like a pot to plant flowers in. Just amazing! Whomever neglected that drain, to allowing it get that bad, hopefully was dealt with, or at least, spoken firmly to. That's nuts!
I thought for sure as you were levering on that basket to get it out I was going to see the plants in the garden disappear into the earth or start getting pulled sideways😆 Amazing job you did, hopefully these gullies / catchbasins get maintained often now
True people overlook things that are working and perform zero preventative maintenance. It's only when they stop working and back up it becomes an issue. He's got job security for sure.
Gotta love city workers, I see this all the time jetting sewer lines. The amount of root infiltration, H2S damage, and all around lack of basic care and maintenance is mind blowing. They always try to pass the back ok us too and get super mad when we throw it back and prove it.
That was a fine example of how to "root" out the problem and make the pipes work better. Sounded like you were slightly out of breath after that ordeal. Hoping the other side was better. Have a wonderful week!!!
I could feel his pain, every time he was winded and trying to grip the roots to pull them up. When you can lift it ok, but your too winded to grip it tight😅
Wow! A week or two of growth my ass! That's at least a months of growth at least. You did a good job. Tough work, but somebody's got to do it! Thank you for your hard work. Keep a goin!
Lach. Für soetwas bin ich gerne zu haben. Lecker,lecker....:))) Liebe Grüße nach Felix Austria aus Piekes Hauptdorf, Berlin
@@kempingerrohrreinigungberlin very good evening sir I am also working in the profession in Oman . But I want to change my company . That's why I asked you for a job in your company please help me
I'd also like to make a suggestion that you add a flat hole, a hole with a vertical blade, (I use one to edge the driveway), and highly recommend a post hole digger. That should help break out the compacted silt and roots. Also a couple of sickle knives, (carpet/drywall knives). That would help get the roots coming in from the concrete. Sometimes a jet cutter just isn't enouhh. Good job!
I agree this job would have been miserable regardless of tools, you did phenomenal. At home, I use a trenching shovel to get through roots but even that is slow going and delicate work, and I’m not trying to avoid metal structures!
Hello Bri .. Thanks for the recognition. Now you just have to keep up the work after every 6 months. According to the motto, always tidying up a bit during the day, holds the apartment tidy 😅
we’ll personally you need to bring a shovel and use your hands to pull those roots out. I bet all those roots were still left behind all that wasted water….
Erinnert mich irgendwie an meine letzte Behandlung beim Zahnarzt. :D
🇬🇧 Good morning to you Sir . You had a job on your hand to clean out that Gully . Watching our friend Ollie from the Drain Addict channel from Australia Ollie has a long handled wand Root cutter , this would have come in useful for you on this Job , we have the same problem here with Our Local councils they fail to clean out the gullies on a regular basis , they then start filling up with Silt and the next thing you know you have small trees trying to grow in them . Great 👍 Job in the end but my hard work for you 😡😤😰 thank you for your videos I use to do this at one time here in the U.K. 🇬🇧 Now I sit back and watch your channel 👍 And others it's in our D N A.
Hi John...Ollie has a completely different setup .. I don't have that .. He has around 250bar or more for his jobs but less water flow .. That's why I mentioned that my job was just to ensure that it drains .. It's not that it would not interest me how fast he could have done it... Our jetters are just too different to compare in this point
@@kempingerrohrreinigungberlin Good day. I don't think John was meaning that getting the type of tool Ollie uses to get the job done faster. I think he was meaning that Ollie's tool would get the job done more efficiently. I know that you could get a metal rod that would connect to your jetter with a cutting nozzle for your system that would give you a quality cut and would ease your job considerably. The amount of water amount or pressure shouldn't factor in using a proper tool. It shouldn't be very expensive. Keep up the good work. I'm enjoying your videos.
Goodness I've never seen such a blocked storm drain with roots clogging up! Great work my friend that was tough watching you work there! Would love to visit Germany in the future! Greetings from England!
@@kempingerrohrreinigungberlin: Sehr gerne geschrieben,Bittesehr.
It is my fault that I wanted to try it myself, nothing more .. Normally it would have had to be renewed .. But the customer just wanted the rain water to drain off until the next spring
You forgot to get rid of the roots around the rim where the basket sits. They will grow back from there. Were you able to get out the mess of roots beneath the basket at the bottom of the hole? Funniest English translation at 4:02... "This has not been done for a week or two." How about a year or two.
Interesting video. I’ve never seen baskets in a drain and it seems to be useless unless it’s cleaned out regularly. Thanks for the laugh at “dry fart”! 😆
I was waiting on you to bring out some boards to get more leverage using that big pry bar. We call them railroad bars here. Looking at that mess of roots below the basket I thought a post hole digger might of helped slicing through those roots for you. Glad you got it done and watching you and the other worker always wear those safety glasses and even a face shield is good when dealing with high pressure water. Only takes a split second and a that's never happened before moment to blind you. Hope the other one went as well or better for you. Great job getting it done.
Hi Chris,,thanks first of all. Well, as you may know, this was a very unusual job for me in this form so that I'm not equipped with tools as such to get that kind of stuff out .. By the way, hereabouts, we don't use that kind of high pressure. As I see it, in US ,GB and Australia.. they work with way over 3500 PSI . I'm just using 1850 PSI ,so 130 bar.. That makes it less dangerous...I'm not so in to safety gear my self , but when I use them, it has reasons.. 😅 Oh, there are another 3 vids to this, all rooted like mad, I did the hole property
was that a PB Swiss #7 screwdriver you used at the start of the video? if so, classy choice! 😽 more seriously, good job even if quite strenuous, that's something that should have been visually inspected regularly but wasn't and you've made sure to clean up that messy roots problem. 😉👌
Little bit of "take 5 - dave brubeck5" at the beginning 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 the only jazz song i can truly stand to hear and i definitely think you should take 5 after that work
LG Reiner
Hallo Falk ...Guter Tipp! 😅
