There's more to be said about Ken's qualifications for HOF enshrinement. And it needs to be said, even if it takes time to get thru to the guardians at the door. Things like Ken's near-spectacular season in '82, following the Superbowl game. He completed over an amazing 70% of his passes and deserved a 2nd MVP, as Montana would receive in years when he didn't set individual "best ratings" like Ken. And in 1982 the 49ers fell apart, even with Montana at QB. Looking at so many of the Bengals' losses, it was not Ken's passes that let the Bengals down but the opposition's superior running game. I hope the word "tool" no longer appears in the Bengal pages about Ken, because after Bill Walsh left, Ken was nobody's tool. He was his own man.
