Ken was part of my adolescence. He was a profiteer, he was a hard-nosed businessman but he was loyal to his regulars, he was a BIG family man and, above all, he was a life-saver. He saved a lot of lives. He didn't get a long retirement because he lived hard. I wish the Knights or the Pier would have been his legacy, but they've been taken over by imbeciles without a clue!
Lovely video Steve.. The Knights was my local back in 1978-79 era . It was the best pub I ever entered )The Royal Charter in Kingston Upon Thames gave it a close run for the money). The song by Phil Jones of S.E.X. is astounding. I love the new album STOP THE WARS. Phil is talented beyond belief- I just wish he could tour with the new album and enough musicians to create the ful sound. Thanks for blessing us with this video which marks the passing of one of the great legends of POrthcawl and the pub too.
