Oginga wuod Awasi had an uncanny resemblance with Benga icon, Okatch Biggy. The resemblance was not just physical but also mirrored in their vocals. Often, Oginga wuod step into the studio mic and replace Okatch's voice during recording. Quite a number of studio releases by Okatch towards the end of his life, when he was too weak to withstand rigorous studio presence, were sung by Oginga as the lead vocalist. One such song is Adhiambo Nyakobura, which many falsely believe was Okatch's voice when actually it is Oginga leading.
I hope that by sharing this work, Oginga and his team of Super Rainbow Band are also getting some income from it. Please. Kindly trace them and give them something instead of sharing their work for free.

Does oginga wuod awasi still perform or he retired from music? Very talented artist and I hope he established himself from music . What is the name of the band? Really useful lessons here.
That's Otieno Omande ruath man gi kuome. Otieno hailed from Kayambo, and his home is right next to Mirogi Boys in Ndhiwa. He was popular with Benga artists. If you listen to Okatch Biggy's music you will hear his name repeatedly. He had a protrusion at his upper back (kuom), and he wore it as a badge of honor. Otieno, unfortunately, passed away in 2021 when a speeding car knocked him down around Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.
