Very refreshing for sure. Not used to hearing a lot of these instruments in a games soundtrack and then when the credits rolled I was like "I get it now/see what they were going for".
Not trying to be like an out of touch-overproud Indonesian, but if anyone is curious the instrument here is called Gamelan. In short, it's an ensemble instrument. Basically a bunch of different instruments. It was made in Java during the medieval times. As of now, it's part of the Javanese, Sundanese, and Balinese culture. Each have their own style. If you're interested, you can find more of them here in yt. They're beautiful. The type of music where you just lay down and close your eyes. That or the type of music that you'd found in some traditional Sundanese restaurant where you sit on the floor, in a hut right next to a paddy field
So many beautiful culture just die because of monopoly of other cultures. I'm glad we can still see this culture in Bali. But other part of Indonesia is not same.
This game really hints at greatness to come. Here's hoping we get to see a bigger, more sprawling (and personal) adventure for Kena in the future. It's an incredible game on its own but it feels like a studio dipping its toes in the water when you can tell their imagination is running wild.
Dewa Putu Berata is also the music composer for this game. He and his group, the cudamani studio composed traditional parts such as gamelan as well as traditional Balinese songs
I knew I recognized those bamboo windchimes! I became obsessed with theophany's music when I first heard their Majora's mask album. I'm incredibly happy someone recognized their talent enough to have them compose a whole soundtrack!
The music is a collaboration between Balinese maestro Dewa Putu Berata and western composer Jason Gallaty...this game is truly EPIC in every aspect...! Hats off to Mr. Dewa Putu Berata and Sanggar Seni Cudamani... 😘😘❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful soundtracks! real refreshing for gaming in 2021, developers take notes!!!!!!!!!!! bring this type of nostalgia back along with great story telling you now have the hardware and software to make things happen
The music and Creator inspired from Bali Island and some of them from Bali too, beside of that some build in this game inspired from Balinese building like "Gapura", also some music i heard sounds like "Kidung" it was spiritual song on Balinesr Hindu's cmiiw
Salam Dari Bali untuk teman teman semua,.,,. Jujur Kolaborasi Musiknya Mantap sekali,., Musik Tradisional Klasik Modern bercampur menjadi satu,.,. Mantap Game Kena Bridge and Spirits,.
Wait a second, wait a second!!!! THE Theophany made this soundtrack??? NO FUCKING WONDER IT'S SO DAMN GOOD! Theophany is a freaking genius when it comes to this stuff!!!! I'm so happy!!!
Bruh?
@Leśny Piwożłop Bali is an island in Indonesia. Most of the instrument used in this music were Balinese instrument, even they collaborate with a gamelan (traditional instrument from Indonesia) group from Bali, called Gamelan Cudamani. Kena is also voiced by the daughter of the group's founder, hence you can also hear Kena speaks Indonesian when she finds some of the Rots in the game.
When Saplings kicks in at 2 min and 1 second it just lights me on fire and I turn into a ninja and I start dancing my butt off. I love this damn song so much!!!!
As a Malaysian I am very proud that our traditional music is used for a game, this is really beautiful, thank you to my ancestors. Greetings from Kuala Lumpur
When I hear this soundtrack, I cry everytime because I used to ask my girlfriend out at the same time we played this masterpiece, I hope everyone as a great day ❤️
My friend Play Havn (name of his channel) has been playing this game. This game has such an incredible soundtrack, and the game itself looks magnificent. I want it. "Ascending the Mountain" is my favorite piece so far.
@@zalu8894They said it makes them think of native American cultures. It's definitely similar. And Native American culture doesn't mean USA culture. They're very different.
Om swastiastu ,jika saya inggin mengunakan backsound music ini apakah akan terkena hak cipta? Om swastiastu is this music copyrighted when i want to use it as my video backsound?
I love it but it’s not the full one :(. Taro’s theme isn’t here. Also, those beautiful songs where someone sings vocals like “Aaa aaa aaa”. Does anyone know where I can find that?
