Everything is canon in the universe where it takes place.

Kendo and Ghosts missions don't have anything that can deem them non canon, for all we know Ghost survived and became the Agent who works with Ada in RE6 co-op and Kendo escaped the city.

​@sadsuya They do, that being the "Night that never dawned" or whatever that plays when you boot them up. However, in your own headcannon you could definitely make these cannon. None of the other RE games would refute that, so for what you want. Plus, agent being ghost Is basically perfect.

No, Kendo never see the dawn. In Original RE2, his shop got attacked by zombies and died while he was helping Leon or Claire. In Remake, he lost his will to live and stayed with his daughter till her turn. He did not attempt to escape. Either he got bit by his daughter or nuked.

As stated already, Kendo canonically dies in raccon city. The same for all ghost survivors.

@@erdalatagul7699 Given this scenario starts off with his putting a shotgun to his mouth, and the divergence point is that he decides not to pull the trigger and escape (his "alternate plan" he mentioned with Jill was to escape via chopper with Barry as the pilot, apparently), it's pretty obvious that his canon fate is that he blew his brains out after putting down his zombified or near-zombified daughter. Really, we should have heard a second gunshot a short while after his mercy-killing of his daughter, but I think the devs overlooked that. It looks like the original plan was to take his wife and daughter to an evac point, with Barry piloting the chopper, arranged shortly before Jill arrived; but, they both became infected. His wife had to be put down because she turned and threatened their daughter and himself, and by the time Jill arrived, their daughter was in severe decline (hence his distracted looks at the door while Jill was trying to talk to him, and given how he reacted and his parting message to her, he'd already made up his mind that they weren't going to escape). By the time Leon and Ada encountered him a day or so later, their daughter was in the end-stage of infection; he'd resigned himself to their fate, and it's likely Barry didn't know that the plan was off (so canonically it's likely he hung around waiting for Kendo's call, before giving up and flying off). Days later after the survivors all escaped, Kendo and his family's bodies were incinerated by the could-be-nuke-but-may-not-be-a-nuke dropped on the City. Well, if they hadn't been eaten or something beforehand.

Barry did not save Kendo. To be honest the original makes no sense to me. Barry was hiding out in Canada, I find it extremely hard to believe that he flew a freaking helicopter from his home in Canada to Raccoon City.

The transition when he enters the parking garage is so perfect, even more so when he blows up the fuel tank zombie and starts descending the stairs to the exact beat of the song!!!! MAN THAT GIVES ME CHILLS TO THIS DAY!!!

I doubt that honor daughter by surviving would be fitting. In more ways, he would remember what was the cause, and remembering the tragedy, he could even save millions, like Leon. But... A tragic for losing a family you loved so much, is more of a pain, that almost no one can bear.

And the gas in fact does not make you mutate
