Greetings from David,Kampar, Perak, Malaysia.Thank you for this very useful,easy-to-follow video on this basic and important kendo skill. Your gloves, marker lines and step-by-step teaching, made it easy for any beginners to learn, correctly and also to those who had began kendo, but are in need of a good, simple revision. Bravo! You mentioned 23 years kendo experience and THIS,itself,is respected. Looking forward to learn more from you!.

Thanks for these videos. I've been trying to learn Nito and your videos have been a great help! I could also see using this video as reference for beginners. One comment - it might be helpful to see how the correct grip/kamae looks with kote on as well.

Kendo has never aged, whoever they want with any age, we can do Kendo 😁👍 I did keiko with 83years old sensen, still cannot beat him 😅 This is very unique point on Kendo. That's why we can do lifelong Kendo until the day of die 😊👌

Thank you sensei, do you have advice for forearm and back exercice routine for kendo?

Suburi is one of the good experiences. If you want more, hammer curl, reverse curl, bent over row, pull up etc... are good one 💪😊👍

It just takes lots of training to strengthen your shoulder and wrist. Hold it a bit higher on the tsuka if you struggle too much, you rather want to take care of yourself than overstrain yourself and get a wrist injury. (This happened to me) Are you asking specifically about technique or the sequence of kiri-kaeshi?

@@adhiwu As the guy above me mentioned go and watch Dash's Video on it but I will explain anyway. I do it this way: Okuri ashi footwork with daito hitting the 1st set of Men cuts. Ayumi ashi footwork with shoto doing the men cuts. Daito strikes last men , fumi komi with opposite foot. I hope this helps, if I didn't clearly enough please tell me. 😅
