Great but one aspect was missing which is in the proposed mechanism the C-C was not explained. How this step happens, its thermodynamics and kinetics.

Sorry to say this is not a carbon reduction... Agree that we use electro Chemical to produce carbon fuels but those fuels When burnt will again release co2 ....if u say that we can use this fuels to produce Energy don't forget that you used Energy to produce this fuels.
