Like I said last time, it's not for your car. It's a diss song. Honestly, you guys are too much out of the loop to understand it. Half of the song, you don't know what he's saying. And the back to back is an album Teddy Pendergrass and AL Green album they did together. Which are the beats he used at the beginning of the song. (Teddy Pendergrass)and this song (Al Green).
Y’all messed with the whole sequence up literally Euphoria was a warning shot, 6:16 in LA was the bait for Family Matters, Meet the grahams and Not like us was the response
It doesn't take much for yall to be on kendricks dick either. Watching grown men pick sides on two millionaires literally singing songs to each other is about as gay as it gets in 2024. Until they actually fight each other, this is all about the money and attention for these two corn balls.
The “I wouldn’t play this in my car” says it all. Drake makes music for masses. Catchy beats and mid rhymes. Kendrick songs make u actually LISTEN to what that boy is sayin. He killed Drake. Especially in meet the grahams and not like us
The fact that ya'll think "trying to free the slaves" is funny and seemingly place a negative connotation on activism is on brand with why we are fkd as a people. Even the disdain for old school music that should be treasured. Other cultures don't do this.
@@fs4836 I was referring to the reactors, but since you mentioned the actual song, the fact that you think the line is “funny” tells me you have some maturing to do. All he did was prove Dot’s point. I say this respectfully. He knew what he was doing and beyond that its perception it creates, especially among people who aren’t as knowledgeable or courageous enough to think for themselves. Discrediting something that we grossly lack as a people, and he clearly doesn’t do, or even understand, is a huge problem. Also, a slap in the face to all FBAs. You wouldn’t say that line was “funny” if he was mocking someone that died, right? Well we are dying, not just by the hands of each other, but by police, “citizens”, and even literally being lynched from trees in the 21st century. I know we’re desensitized and all but do you understand how wild that is? Lines like that make people uncomfortable and afraid to come off as “too woke” and eventually move away from activism altogether. What is “too woke” and how is that possible? What is the alternative? And before you say it’s just a song and I’m taking it too seriously, I witness people being shamed online almost daily for being “too woke”, and by people who rather go along with the status quo than do their own research, real research, not just watching a few videos. Dot is doing what every single one of us is supposed to be doing. Societal leadership does not need to be appointed, people who have the initiative and actually are for us can and should use their platform and tools to help in anyway they see fit. We all can and should do this, but instead we complain about our treatment and lack of opportunities, but do nothing to remedy it.
What y'all gotta realize is you're hearing a rap battle in the wrong order tho. You're hearing it all in reverse & that's cool but Euphoria was the first diss to pushups & then 6:16 dropped right after like Drake dropped Taylor Made. Then Drake dropped Family Matters. Then 30 minutes later or less KL dropped the heaviest darkest track against Drake strategically "Meet the Grahams" & at this point in time, he was just straight slow cookin Drake directly, not even tryna make them bangers but to get in Drake's head & cause paranoia. Then KL dunked on em with "Not like Us" to prove he could make a banger easy w / Mustard. Whoever reads this and got to witness the drops happen the same night, that shit was fire & tbh this is a epic moment for HIPHOP cause I ain't gonna accept Ice spice winning the HipHop award😂😂😂😂
THISSS. And also the fact that everyone thought drake had outsmarted Kendrick by dropping family matters later the SAME DAY he dropped 6:16 in la. Only for Kendrick to go sike you thought and drop meet the grahams 30 minutes later. Giving us 3 diss tracks in ONE day
@@Stylinstark yesssss, and I'm being objective because this is a W for HIPHOP. So when I say Kendrick is full beast mode all these dick riders who don't know what HipHop is all about think I'm dick riding when I'm just pointing out the facts, there's a criteria for who's taking the Dub it's not about who has the song that can play in the club, that's just weak imo KL is now battling the entire industry of manufactured fame & plants who have whole teams behind them instead of just writing originality
Also, what we’re seeing now is that euphoria and 6:16 weren’t even really diss tracks like that, they were warning shots to not drop “Family Matters”. Dot already knew about that coming out and was warning him, Drake didn’t listen and then we got MTG and Not Like Us.
Facts, Real listeners know that was the Kill Shot and 6:16 was the Warning with the Glove and then he Zoomed out for Meet The Grahams.. Aaaaahhhhh That's so diabolical And Genius, the Boogeyman Certified...
Dude in the middle missed the point entirely. The beginning of the song talks about how to live a happy life. Travel and spend time with your family, have a good relationship with God, and center your values around money, morals, and your true culture. Then, he goes into Drake. P Drizzy has been living an inauthentic life. He bullies the people in his circle. He pays for their friendship. They're getting sick of him and are praying for his downfall. The point of the intro verse is to show that spending time with his kids will make Drake a happier person. If you surround yourself with people who are just around you for a paycheck, you'll end up dying alone in the end like Michael Jackson.
Yea usually I agree with him on a lot of points too it sucks they structured these videos the way they did. Backwards outta order and without knowing the context I get why people might not like the beats, but in just making faces and saying ew that don’t sound like idk hans zimmer over here on the drake production, just shows that they don’t understand Kendrick or his angle
He disses Drake off rip.. “Offwhite sunseeker at the Marina” sunseeker is a yacht, Drake is always trying to fit in w black culture. So he’s the off white sunseeker Drake was also on the phantom yacht w Rick Ross in a music video.
"before you realize you are not alone, ask what Mike would do?" Alluding to Drake not knowing who to trust where he stays, and begs the question what would Michael do in Drake's situation... But if you think about it, how did MJ die? Alone. In his own house. Surrounded by ppl that he trusted. Murdered by his own doctor. He warned Drake then. Ego wouldn't let him see it.
These guys don’t seem to realize that good music doesn’t necessarily mean something you can bop to in your car lol. Kendrick is the GOAT of this whole generation, they hating way too much on Kung fu Kenny!
Bro you can see the mentality of a drake fan and Kendrick fan. Yall drake glazers surface level bro😂 I swear kendrick can say the most diabolical shit and if drake just says "you suck at rap" with a hard beat he wins in their eyes😂 you guys are also reacting in the wrong order he dropped this right after euphoria so he didn't have to go that hard. This track was really a light intermission. Euphoria was solid jab. 6: 16 in LA was a right hand after. Meet the grahms was the uppercut the real diss. And the last track was the finishing hook club banger
@itsGotti height don't mean nothing and at least kdot isnt a fruity BBL pedophile with ghost writers🤣 We act sophisticated because most of us are compare to drake glazers. If you a drake fan I already know 60% of your mentality/personality and that says a lot
I understand there are people out there that prefer club pop hip hop. But what I don’t understand is the appreciation for the art of lyricism. If it was easy, then everyone would be considered a lyricist. But most rappers are lyricists.
You guys should know the order of the disses first lol 1- Kendrick : his verse in Future’s song 2- After 3 weeks, Drake: drop and gimme 50 3- After 2 days Drake: Taylor Made Song "2pac - Snoop AI" 4- After 3 weeks, Kendrick: Euphoria 5- The next day Kendrick: 6:16 6- A week later, Drake: Family Ties 7- After only 20 minutes, Kendrick: Meet the Grahams 8- The next day Kendrick: Not Like Us
u gotta listen to the disses in orderrrrrr plus 6:16 was more of a bait for family matters so he could drop meet the grahams instantly after. kendrick really did predict the angles.
Damn the disrespect on the Al green sample is crazy work this was basically not a diss but a warning drake that this isn’t what he wants to do. That part he was singing was him talking to GOD basically saying I’m trying my best to be peaceful man walk a righteous path but this person is dragging me back into the person I don’t want to be but if he leaves me no choice I’m war ready for anyone who brings me there. And trying to talk to drake I’m not your enemy you have people who don’t have your best interest.
Hey Any real Drake Fans, tell him to Not reapond leave this while he can. IF Yall really listen and Pay attention to the cover Art, this is some Art Of War Planned attack Kendrick is on. Tell him to get out while he can..
2:14 part of the problem is you guys are hearing these out of order. Its not hitting partially because there's an escalation to this. Listening to 6:16 in LA after Family Matters is like listening to Whitey's Revenge after listening to Quitter.
I like that K Dot's word play is vague enough to have 2 or 3 meanings, one being a diss. For example, who is he if he doesn't go to war? As in J Cole, who decided not to go to war with Kenny? In the next line he says even if he takes an L he still has some opportunity to grow. This can be taken literally but he can also be talking to Cole. Saying Cole could have stood on business and loss but he lost the opportunity. Then he goes on to talk about his parenting. A dig at Drake who he claims is a horrible father. "I JUST NEED YOU TO THINK" He's literally telling you to read between the lines.
20 of them... 1 of them... 2 of them 2012 "Poetic Justice" feat. Drake. Am I reaching? "If I told you a flower could bloom in a dark room, would you trust it?"
“Before you figure that you not alone ask what Mike would do?’ ”… “I’m starting with the man in the mirror, I’m asking him to change his ways!” MJ . Kendrick be killing you by suggestion lmao 🤣
I’m just gonna put it like this for y’all -- Kendrick made a Netflix series pealing Drake. So you have to listen to everything chronologically. And those beats are on purpose like a great killing series with substance you might have to wait until episode 4 or 5 for the super super easy action and you will appreciate more. Someone making a B movie with no substance but want to sell and have replay will start the action and mask it with CGI episode 1-4 but get played out by season 2 like Drake diss.
Rap disses are also about which song will still be on replay In 10 years. We still listen to Hit Em Up in 2024, meanwhile almost no one listens to any Biggie disses about Pac these days. Same with Charged Up, meanwhile no one even knows meek mills diss. I gurentee drakes disses will have longevity, and anyone saying kendrick is out rapping drake is capping. They both are rapping at the same level, kendricks just better at making a narrative, mostly based on complete bs. But it's a good story for people to talk about for a couple weeks.
They keep bringing up Michael throughout the beef because in first person shooter drake compares his success to that of MJ which Kendrick addresses in “like that” and so on
“Find the jewels like Kash Doll I JUST NEED YOU TO THINK.” Aubrey is nursery rhyme rap Kendrick is gonna put out some shit that challenge you to think. Find the jewels.
The first part of the song, he states his position, he asks God to forgive him for what he's about to do. Second part of the song is a warning shot telling Drake, don't step across that line or I'm gonna murk YOUUUUUUUUU!
I’d say after listening to it a couple of times, the first verse is in correspondence to maybe his recent album he dropped in 2022 and the message it sent. Basically he lives the life of peace but war ready to protect his. The second part is say is more of a warning to Drake that if he continues down this route of “lies” and attempts at getting “receipts” in KDot’s hometown then KDot won’t have any remorse on exposing Drake for what he truly is. Not to mention that the way he’s heading will also cost him, as his own team is compromised and is leaking stuff. How I saw it anyways.
“Somebody lying but I don’t see no fire” “lier lier pants on fires” “I don’t see no fire” Somebody lying and it’s not k. Dot I just caught this hitting my L and watching yall😂😂
THEY ARE DISS SONGS, NOT MEANT TO BE PLAYED WHILE JAMMING. Why tf is that so hard to understand for people, this shit isn’t an album or single. IT A DISS.
You can literally the see the ignorance on one or two brothers faces... and unfortunately, theyre on the same ignorant stuff in EVERY video Ive ever seen.
You wont appreciate this song out of sequence.. imagine euphoria dropped and while we wait for Drake Kendrick says I know your next move I’m ready.. Drake drops his best shit then 30 minutes Later Kendrick already detonated the impact with meet the grahams then you go back to this like damn.. he literally warned Drake
