Yall been askin for Kendick Alot lately, I GOT YOU!!! STEVIE KNIGHT FIT - / @stevieknightfit / stevieknight - JOIN THE FAMILY shopstevieknig... - FOR THE MERCH paypal.me/skni... - TO SUPPORT THE CHANNEL / stevie_knight
As far as I know, Kendrick and the producer couldn’t clear the sample for this track, it was supposed to be on good kid mAAd city. But yeah this is definitely in my top 3 Kendrick songs ever, everything is absolutely amazing. The word play, the references, his flow, the beat, that fuckin hook, gunplay killin his verse, it’s just all S tier. Layers to this one
During Kendrick's verses you can hear "Elmer Fudd say...shoot 'em down." Another reference, similar to the Wile E Coyote one, to the cartoons he's been told to watch and how the cartoons are representing the real world around him too.
Same! Remember finding it on my psp (bro took out my memory chip and put his; we had diff tastes then) and I saw the album cover and was like “whats dis foo?” And damn it’s still on my top 3 fav Kendrick songs
I knew of Kendrick for a while but I wasn't fully delved into Hip Hop. I was visiting a friend and we were hours deep into a legendary smoke session, higher than I've ever been. He put this on and my mind was blown forever, I knew then that I needed to pay attention to Kendrick and that he was the best of his generation by miles.
HELL YEAAHHH! Let's goooo! Been requesting this one for a LONG TIME! This is one of Kendrick Lamar's best songs. Gunplay killed his verse too! Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song narrated all of 2012 for me. Timeless, classic and one of the only songs that Kendrick didn’t murder the track himself, Gunplay held his own in this.
And in my interpretation he is the roadrunner because he runs away from the Coyotes surrounding him who ironically are his family and who he wants to be like seeing they are his role models and who he looks up to but he is backdooring running away from that lifestyle... FIRE🔥🔥🔥
Reacted the same way i did in every way. Love geminis. Im 6/6, im a writer, musician, and misunderstood constantly. I turned so many people onto this. Its the first reaction to it ever that ive seen, prove me wrong. Im obsessed.. Kendrick is a king of intellectual poetry.
This guy is the real rap genius for lyrics Edit: also that lightning bolt to right to vote and (raichu volt) is a cartoon electric Pokemon⚡⚡ sick word play
only just came across this 3 years later, been one of my fave KDot songs for years, samples kept it off GKMC but never seen anyone disect it like this... good work man
The live wire line also refers to a cartoon where there ks this villain called Live Wire that kinda describes her in the first part of that same verse. This song bashes all my neurons and i love it. Also the I-I-I part could be a reference to porky the pig from Looney tunes, and it's happening the same way as watching cartoons on a TV that has bad signal problems, hence why all the static problems between the chorus. Dear god
RU-vidrs like you have a great power. You have the power to bring back the Golden Era. Make people go Crate Digging again. Make them go out of their way and discover new music again. Please breakdown one of my Personal favorite of all time, Blackthought (The Roots) - Doing it again. Or Busta Rhymes with Q-Tip - Thank You.
Yo, this has been probably my favorite Kendrick track for years now. Didn't think any other RU-vidrs even knew about it. That's why I fux with ya Stevie. 😁✊🏻
you kinda close but the wile e cyote are the cops and he saying “i run it/ironic “ basically saying he is a criminal running and it’s ironic that he’s doing the same thing as his father
Man bro I used to jam this shit everyyydaayyyy when I was in 9th grade not realizing how much the song resonated with my life and how deep the song actually was, glad I came across it 10 years later and seen you got a reaction video on it 😂😂🙏🏼
Bro I’m so glad you did this one! I forgot all about this song!!!! This I heard this so fuckin long ago!!! I forgot this song existed. I love this song
I always thought of the "finish watching cartoons... Coyotes in the room" line meant he can't stop watching cartoons cause everyone around him is cartoonish/lame/wack, etc.
