I agree so much with this. I just had my first child and her dad and I are darker than her, she came out light skin like my dad and I love every bit of it. But people have been saying stuff about her since she was a baby, like my aunt was supposedly joking saying she thought my kid was the Mexicans across the street like wtf if wrong with yall. As a lighter skin woman, I appreciate this comment so much, cuz I am the oldest of 3 beautiful chocolate lil sisters and I fought sooo much over them being picked on! On the flip side my sister's watched people not like me, judge who i am without knowing me, or fight me over the dumbest shit. As they got older, they fought over me as well, cuz 9x's outta 10 it was cuz I was the skinny lighter skin girl in the group....easy target!!!
