I don't see why diss records would change that, imo it seems like Kendrick was trying to start a friendly competition, hip hop has always been competitive, I think it would've been good for the genre if Cole & Kenny went at it
What is with you people and thinking that fucking album is coming when both of them have said it doesn’t exist and won’t ever release. They worked on a few tracks a decade ago and didn’t finish them PLEASE LET IT GO
@@Artislife1992 the thing you dont understand is kdot dont do things for clout. he stands to what he says. cole never shouldve responded if hes just gon cap. simple as that
@@erys6381you don’t know the man personally. He waited 5 months to respond to first person shooter. It don’t take that long. If he really felt some type of way, he would have responded asap. That’s what MGK did to Em. Instead, he waited to hop on futures album because he knew it’d be even bigger if him future and metro were all apart of this.
@@erys6381 I think Cole had that apology ready before the diss even dropped Was waiting for that feedback, don't know how to listen to his braggadocious shit after this, not that I was a fan or anything but if you are going to name drop Kdot and the Big 3 you have to live up to your shit at least
Cole's production feels so nostalgic. This beat sounds unmistakably like the early 2010s. Good times man. All the greatest rappers of our generation came out of that 2008-2013 era. A moment in time.
@@richied10 not saying that there aren't great rappers that came after. I'm saying that the biggest, culturally most relevant artists of our time ("big 3" etc) came out of that time period.
It’s March 2024. Kendrick dropped his ‘Like That’ verse. I’m excited for the battle between Cole and Kendrick. I have a theory that it’s a feud between them to build hype for the collab. Its a long shot. Here’s hoping 🙏🏻😂
kendrick is so dope when he just raps. it sucks that cole and dot projects never dropped . they got over a dozen songs that probably won't see the light of the day
@@codyftwkk Mythical Albums is what we call them and it happens all the time. Starting way back in the 90's but imma only tell you what I know. Kanye west - Good Ass Job, Dr. Dre - Detox, Andre 3000 solo album, J.Cole and Kendrick Mixtape, Kanye West Yandhi, Kanye West with Lupe and Pharrell - Child Rebel Soldier album, Nas and DJ Premier collab album.
I come revisit this masterpiece at least once a year wishing they would do a project together, it would insane if they do , man the good ole days when they was just bubbling
I miss this era so much, I was in high school. I always thought they’d drop Black Friday and collab frequently. I hope they make up after the beef and get in the studio together
Song name is temptation and it's crazy J cole said In an interview that when he heard Kendrick verse he had to rewrite his. Listening to this and Kendrick still had a better verse even after the rewrite, just shows how hard Kendrick was lyrically back then
I saw an interview where Cole was implying he was impressed with Kendrick's part when he heard it, I thought he said it made him want to rewrite his part but I don't think we rewrote it unless he mentioned that later in the interview, I liked Cole's verse more though but Kendrick's part was hard for sure "no jobs like Tommy from Martin...she blow hard like a Nintendo cartridge"🥶 that was clever especially with Cole's reference of Pam and Gina, that beat so cold as well wish they dropped I still be listening to this to this day
It's sad when great artists never make songs together or when they do, they just never release them. Really pisses me off. Pac, Nas, Em, Kendrick, Cole are my top 5 rappers ever, dead or alive. They need to do some things before times up. Seriously.
It'll just be released years later after their death so that the people with the rights to it can profit. Problem is that we might be dead before we hear it.
And BJ The Chicago Kid STILL doesn’t get the attention he deserves after laying down incredible melodies for every artist off black hippy, Kanye west, joey badass, travis Scott, Chance, Freddie gibbs, Rick Ross and SO MANY MORE
I feel like they must be in a place where they think this music isn’t relatable to their sound anymore.. why else would they not release this? It would be one for the fans. They sound so good together
“ often caught up in confusion and needed a solution, they tell me the solution to get through this illusion im livin’ .. a Few friends killed, a few sent to prison our mama tried to warn us but.. a few tend to listen”
I remember I was in HS, rapping look out for detox til I memorized it. Listening to FNL and S80 wishing for hundreds gear and a bunch of other street brands. 2011 was beautiful. So simple....
Yall must have not seen the latest interviews with Cole thoroughly explaining there is no collaboration hiding in a vault anywhere. They would have to sit down and really cook up
I hope these brothers come together and make mends they could make the best collab album of all time i can see them bringing the best out each other love both music
Damn man, 2 of my fav out the game. Stumbled upon both they music in high school and it helped me battle depression and graduate. I could never pick a side ✊🏾
I can fucking bet even if they released the song now it will top the charts man that's how amazing this song is Cole is Crazy with the productions as well man
Schoolboy Q at the end “they been wondering who the hardest rapper is” Kendrick “Q just high right now”😂 May have been high but a facts still a fact🔒 even ten years later
